Excellent noodle soup with barbecue pork! I stumbled upon it since it was near my hotel and I’m so glad I did. Good service and fresh, delicious food. Will definitely be back when in Zurich again.

This is just a preliminary review. I really want to go one more time before giving them a definitive rating.
What I can say is that the restaurant is a bit strange. They do have take-out but when you ask them to make your order take-out, they stare at you as if you’ve just asked the strangest thing. Also, they were closed on more than one occasion even though it said on the door that they were supposed to be open.
As to their food, I only had one Bao, which I ordered to-go a couple of weeks ago. While impressive in size, the quality is a bit lacking. The dough is great but the filling consisted of dry pork meat with a lot of ginger and a very dry and old-looking egg. Also, the insides of the Bao were cold. I have to admit that, while a lot of people would be turned off by that, I kinda liked it, though.
So, you see, that’s the reason I have to go back because I’m so intrigued by the restaurant’s grunginess I just have to see what else they have to offer.

This place has been my go-to Chinese grub spot since living in Zurich. I can’t say it’s the best Chinese I’ve ever had, but it’s very good! Miles better than some other places I’ve tried around here. I don’t even try to look for new Asian places anymore. Zhong Hua is all I need.
