I am very picky when it comes to Pizza as I enjoy my pizzas thin and with only a couple of toppings — very Italian. A few weeks ago I was at my daughter’s house when she ordered pizzas. I was prepared to have one slice to show willing but I wasn’t too enthusiastic. When they arrived they were ‘gourmet’ pizzas, a word that always worries me. We had the Iceland: A light tomato & garlic base, with chicken, king prawns, sweet chilli sauce, bacon and sun dried tomato. Plus a Europa which had tomato sauce, artichokes, marinated roasted capsicum, sun dried tomato and olives. They were really good and changed my mind completely about gourmet pizzas. They aren’t traditional pizza toppings but they were delicious!
