Starbucks

Ich bin eigentlich der Meinung, dass man in Wien lieber in ein Kaffeehaus gehen sollte, anstatt zu der großen Starbucks-​Einheitsbrei-​Kette, zumal Wien einen wunderbaren Kaffee zu bieten hat.
Dennoch muss ich sagen, dass die Lokation, die hier ausgesucht wurde schon seine Vorzüge hat. Nur ein paar Meter abseits des Trubels am Graben, versteckt in der Bräunerstraße findet man den weltweit vertretenen Coffeeshop.
Der Außenbereich ist zwar nicht groß, aber wer dort einen Platz findet hat einen guten Blick auf die Pestsäule und kann beobachten wie die Touristen sich gegenseitige den Weg versperren. Um sich eine kleine Auszeit zu nehmen ist der Platz meiner Meinung nach ideal.

This is one of the filthiest Starbucks I’ve ever set foot it. It’s understaffed and has several floors underground that are architecturally very nice but seating for 80+ cannot be maintained by the three employees on shift on a Saturday evening who also need to make drinks and work the cash and were just barely keeping up with that.
The first thing I noticed was flies crawling around the package food area. Then, when we got to the seating there was garbage on some of the club chairs, spilled drinks on the floor, food crumbs, and straw wrappers lying around like it hadn’t been swept all day. There’s also painting peeling away off one stone wall like there’s a moisture issue there.
The women’s washroom was out of toilet paper with used paper overflowing from the trash can and paper all over the floor. I tried the men’s first rather than climbing up 2 flights of stairs to report the toilet paper issue and found it flooded by an overflowing toilet, which according to staff is an on-​going issue.
Given how high traffic this location is being right off the main square, I blame upper management for the neglectful state of this place. There’s no way three people can reasonably be expected to maintain the washrooms and seating with a never ending line up.
Shame, it really could be nice.

The best part of this Starbucks is the view of the Plague Column if you sit outside on the patio.
Coffee was ok but not worth the price. As I remember it was around 4 euros for a small cup of latte.

Tucked away from the main tourist street, it’s a great place to stop for a break while you tour Vienna. They have AC, free wifi, and fairly clean bathrooms but drinks are pricier than normal. Overall a good spot for a break while sight seeing.

Drinks a little expensive for an American but more than ample seating and air conditioning. Go downstairs for comfortable seating. Free wifi was great being on international phone.

I often go find some peace of mind in this hidden Starbucks Coffee, away from the agitation of the Graben.
I recommend the Matcha Tea Latte, new on the card since last January — and not available yet in many other countries! Be glad to be in Austria! :)

Hidden down a side street right near Stephansplatz, this Starbucks is mostly underground… Buy your coffee on the ground level and head downstairs (lift available) to one of two lower ground floors to enjoy it.
This Starbucks has all the usuals: free WiFi, plugs everywhere, big cosy chairs, big wooden tables (good for studying) and friendly bilingual staff!

Das Café hat leider nicht so nette gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten wie andere Starbucks. Ist wohl eher auf den schnellen touristischen Konsum ausgerichtet. Ansonsten aber ganz ok.
