I feel like there are better places to eat in Rio. Located in the Sol Ipanema hotel, free wi-fi, beach overlook. Make sure you make a reservation for dinner if you want a window seat. This place had very attentive service. Restaurant is very pretty with low lighting and off-whites, but it still feels quite sterile and cold. Also, one thing that drives me nuts is that they don’t have any place to put your purse(not on the back of a seat or anything), so I ended up putting my purse on the floor. The food was simply okay, but I left feeling like I didn’t get value for money in food quality. I had the seafood spaghetti for 72 Reals, and the seafood wasn’t big, fresh squid rings and stuff… it was all tiny little pieces of seafood and overcooked. We also had the mushroom and beef penne, which was very salty. «Complimentary» cheese crisps aren’t complimentary, by the way. They bring them to your table, and you’ll end up paying for them at the end of the night. That is kinda sneaky! Per Luciana’s review, I had to get the hazelnut molten chocolate cake. I’m the type of person that loves chocolate so much that I could rub it between my ears and between all my eye wrinkles, and it still wouldn’t be enough. Wellllll we found«enough,» and they definitely need about two more scoops of ice cream with that puppy! Poached pear was devoured by my friend without any conversation taking place, so I’m guessing that is a fantastic hit. Unless you are looking for a very romantic, quiet, intimate date night with no distractions, I’d recommend skipping down to Nomangue instead if you want some seafood or to Churrascaria Palace for some meat!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Ive been here twice, and wasn’t sure if I wanted to give it 3 or 4 stars. Restaurant is located on the second floor of the Sol Ipanema Hotel. Everytime ive been there its been relatively empty(but then again, I went early for Brazilian standards). And the quiet environment was actually very nice. Ive had a risotto dish and also their pasta with shrimp. The pasta was delicious! Freshly made and delicate. There could have been more shrimp on the plate ;) The risotto was a daily special and wasn’t bad either. Friends have had their lamb dish and also salmon. All dishes were plated well and made the meal appealing. We’ve also had the desserts. The chocolate soufflé takes 15 mins, but if you are a chocolate lover, it is GOOD. Hot, and a HUGE bowl(I would say you can share this) except that I personally dont think they serve enough ice cream. its a nice size soufflé, but just one tiny scoop of ice cream. And the richness of that chocolate, I needed more ice cream! The profiteroles are also good. Pastry filled with cream ice cream and a hefty drizzle of chocolate sauce. If you are interested in an italian meal, check this place out. its a hotel restaurant, but food is good, view is great and desserts amazing! :)
