Ipanema Inn

Me encanto este hotel, la edificación es muy simple, con toques modernos. Es chico, tanto la recepción como las habitaciones (al menos en la que me quedé yo, que era la tarifa económica). El desayuno es muy bueno, lindo el lugar, con buena variedad y cocina a la vista. De la cocina se puede pedir omelette, huevos revueltos y panqueques. El personal del hotel es muy atento y cumple con las expectativas de un tres estrellas de playa.
Un detalle que me encantó: el shampoo, jabón etc son de la marca «Granado», de castañas. Un +. En la habitación hay dos batas de algodón. Otra cosa a tener en cuenta es que el hotel tiene un restaurant rico pero caro. Tiene opciones de pastas y pescados, y varias entradas. (Dos cervezas, una entrada y dos principales, con el servicio $R 215).
A mejorar: cantidad de toallas justas, podrían agregar alguna más. No hay lugar para colgar las cosas. La cinta de la ducha (tipo soga para colgar la ropa) estaba rota.

Service and attitude were great across the board. Genuine smiles from everyone combined with a willingness to assist with every need. Genesio and the team there are simply a model for true hospitality! Nice clean restaurant with an elegant and well assembled breakfast.

We stayed at the hotel and have enjoyed it very much. Clean, nice staff and a good free breakfast. However, this review is for the restaurant. We had dinner here because our previous plans fell through. The food was excellent. My wife had the catch of the day over risotto. I had prawn and octopus over mashed plantains. Both dishes were very good. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Don’t let the fact that this restaurant is in a hotel deter you from giving it a try. We were pleasantly surprised.

Five star experience at 3 star hotel!
What a great little place for the budget traveller! Located right next to the beach, the Ipanema Inn is a little jewel in Rio. We stayed for two nights and were pleasantly surprised how much we got for such a great rate. The service was friendly and fantastic and the breakfast was so delicious. The waitress Isabela is both beautiful and speaks fluent English which helps. The crepes were just as good as any I’ve had in France.
That being said, the amenities are few and far between. You definitely will need to bring your own specialty soaps, shampoos, etc if you need, however the hotel is within walking distance of a pretty well stocked supermarket.
Lastly, I felt safe there as the area is pretty popular and touristy

Chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews and was not disappointed. The rooms and hotel are very clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and speak fluent english, spanish as well as the native language, Portuguese. Half a block to the beach and close to everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
