It’s probably true as burnaby’s only boutique hotel compared to DT Van. Though not very big, 3 levels, and own-self laundry, at least it was last year. First thing i noticed is the friendly staff, & the zebra patter rug in their lobby, lol and comfortable sofa, a decent size all around. Washroom on main level, same for internet too. What’s best is their pub is located right beside, even w/an entrance from the front desk. Big ground parking lot n the back, and a liquor store too if the bar isn’t enough ;) They use the good 250 thread count sheets & almost-ritzy like bedding, almost royalty-ish.

We visted this hotel in June 2011 for a weekend getaway. Our expectations were met. The front desk concierge were amazing! They were so much help, always friendly and even offered a umbrella for the day incase it rained. When we got there they also offered to carry our bags to our room since there was no elevator. The rooms were very modern and nice. We really liked the welcome fruit basket they brought to our room. We also enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good price, and good proximity to downtown. THANKYOU!

I recently stayed here on a trip to Vancouver and it was great! My bf and I were trying to find a reasonably priced okay hotel for one night and this turned out to be a pretty good choice. It’s located on Hastings St where it can be great on one side and terribly scary on the other side, we were somewhere near the Chinatown-part of the street I guess and it was okay. There’s a lot of restaurants nearby, convenience stores, and a police/fire dept a few blocks away as well.(I got to explore because there was the Hats Off Parade going on and it was a pretty big deal but my bf and I walked up and down the street a lot exploring.) It’s a pretty small hotel but well run and newly renovated as well. Check in was quick and pleasant, we had a view of Hastings St which was great because the Hats Off Parade was going on and we were watching from above. The only gripe I had was that there was no elevator so it kind of sucks to carry all of your stuff up all the stairs. There is one computer near the lobby for anyone’s use, and a complimentary continental breakfast but I haven’t been so can’t comment. Other than that, the room was clean and in order, with complimentary fruit, waters, and internet. Parking was also free. The beds were also SUPER comfortable, enough to be memorable, I had a great night’s sleep. Another plus about this place is that downstairs there’s a bar, and also a liquor store. It’s supposed to be «BC’s largest liquor store» but if that’s true then it’s a disappointment, but it is decently sized and convenient.(note: in Canada you can only buy liquor(even beer) in liquor stores, seriously, don’t even ask, I asked a guy in the nearby drugstore and he looked at me like I was insane to suggest otherwise: P) Anyways, would recommend for a quick stay.
