I am a beginner knitter and thought since I was in Calgary, I would see some of what they had to offer. It took me a while to get to the store driving through rush hour traffice in a city I am not familiar with, but I will blame that on not knowing my way around!
The ladies in the store were friendly, however no one asked if I needed any help.
They have a wonderful variety of blends and colors. I found myself some beautiful variegated silk and mohair blended sport weight yarn that I can’t wait to be able to make something out of. They didn’t seem to have a lot of selection of worsted or chunky weight yarn.
Definitely worth the drive if you are looking for something exotic!

I just started knitting about a week ago and I bought my initial stuff to get me started at Michaels.
This place is far better. There is a sitting area where people come to sit a knit and the store is set up beautifully with an incredible selection of yarns and other knitting paraphernalia, and it’s almost like art the way it’s set up.
The lady that helped me was very kind and helpful and had some good suggestions. They also have all sorts of wool there which I’m a huge fan of.
I’ll definitely return.

Great little yarn shop between crowchild and 14^th street NW.
Friendly staff, good solid selection and every time I have dropped in there is a friendly clutch of ladies stitchin’ away and giggling. Clean, organized, cozy. Well done!
