Food are too pricey for quality. Their build a burger is a joke! Waitress doesn’t tell you anything. And not to mention you have to pay to refill your pop when other pubs are just free. Our bills were $ 50 for two people we didn’t even order a booze on that bill. Never coming back again. This place sucks… a total joke…

We like this place. 2 years ago I got food poisoning, but then they changed management. The wings are pretty awesome, especially if you get happy hour prices. We’re here for Burger Monday’s and the burger for $ 6 is really good. Tasty, looks and tastes home-​made. Don’t listen to the bad wraps from old reviews, this place has changed a lot. Better, faster, and friendlier service, $ 3.50 craft beers during happy hour, the food is fresh, and they have lots of sports on many tv’s. I’ve asked twice to put on specific hockey games the last 2 visits, and they did with absolutely no problem at all.

Went here for Paint Night. That part was fun. However the food was not what we came for. I had the Mac and Cheese. No taste. Really, it had no taste.

The service is solid. The food is really good, and the place is nice. Their burgers are great!
I usually order the beer flights because who doesn’t like being able to try lots of little beers? I can’t handle more than one or two full sized beers and if I wanted to try a few different ones then I’d be in trouble. Being able to order little samples is perfect!
I’m not too thrilled at the fact that kids are going to be allowed here once the new liquor laws come into effect so we will see how that goes. Personally I think that parents deserve a kid free zone and I think that there are better places to take your kids.

Service was so so slow. Server was young but nice just needs some serious training. The atmosphere was good. The food was average. I would try it again as long as it wasn’t with the same server.

Has a good hard liquor selection. Used to have a great menu but now there is very little selection and almost no choice if you cannot eat spicy food. There used to be the best Pork Bites but now they are dry and spicy. No Yam Fries which is a pub staple. People go to watch the Hockey games but the sound is top low to hear it. Servers are hit and miss. Bathrooms are usually very clean.

If short skirts and terrible service is your idea of a good time, then I highly recommend this place. I went with a small group of four, walked in, stood politely at the door just in case there was a host to seat us, no one acknowledged us so we figured it was seat yourself after a minute or two, there was about 3 waitress bustling around from what we saw. We took a seat next the fireplace, about 10 or so minutes in we were given menu’s without so much of a greeting or introduction of any food or drink specials, fair enough– maybe there were none on… then proceeded to wait for another 10 or so more minutes without any further acknowledgment/​service. We then figured out that we were not going to get service– let alone bad service so we reluctantly decided to leave… even somewhat slowly… and none of the service staff even tried to stop us, which isn’t surprising considering considering they didn’t even try to serve us. It was a pretty odd experience considering the size of the restaurant, there was only about 3 other tables with customers, so its not like it was busy (well– i guess I know why). If the place was packed you can kinda understand waiting for service. but practically empty?
I don’t think this place is worth going out of your way for, we were hoping to find a new spot to hangout at, unfortunately we won’t waste our time giving it another try.

Good neighbourhood pub for watching sports or getting together with friends.

Comfy, cozy, friendly pub tucked away off of lougheed hwy behind Superstore. This is a wonderful find! We will definitely be back — not only for the food but also for the local craft beer on tap.
Wings — HUGE! Good amount of sauce, tried the hot wings, jerk & sweet heat. They were cooked perfectly — crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. Highly recommended! Especially during happy hour & on their wing Thursday’s ($ 0.39 wings is a steal for wings this size!)
Fish & Chips — my boyfriend ordered this & finished it off in record time! Fish was fresh with huge pieces. Seriously. Massive! Good balance of crispy batter & thick cut fish. Coleslaw was fresh and crunchy with a good amount of dressing.
Tuscan Chicken Burger (got this bad boy in a wrap which they offer as an option for all burgers) — so good! With fresh avocado, juicy chicken & crispy onions this wrap had a great texture. Super happy with my choice. I had it with the side salad with their house honey lime vinaigrette. Lima beans & corn made me a happy camper!
Looking forward to trying the rest of their house made dressings & interesting menu items (perogies & chorizo? Yes please!)
Definitely worth checking out.

had the burger and shared some chicken wings.. they are NOT those dried out ones. they have some meat on them! had the s&p wings. better than your typical Pub food by a mile..

Very happy with their craft beer selection at $ 3.50/sleeve during happy hour. I got the bacon Mac which was very disappointing. My friends each got the club sandwich and bacon burger which looked more appealing, but it’s a lot harder to mess up a sandwich than a mac’n’cheese.
We were there shortly after 11pm so this should be expected, but I’m still not sure why the music needs to be quite as loud. I know I’m old and all but I don’t care to have to yell to carry on a conversation.

Liked it, average sports bar. Just your average crowd, average service. The food: okay. Nothing out of the ordinary, but nice and simple at the same time.

Went to Roos last week to have a couple drinks and a little something to eat with my wife and a couple friends. It is usually a spot for us to hangout a couple of times a month to catch up with friends. Anyway long story short went in and had a couple beers plus ordered some chicken strips for happy hour. Couple hours later something didn’t feel right and I had to rush to the washroom to vomit. After that I thought I had it all out but I was sadly mistaken! I spent the next 10 – 12 hours puking over the toilet every 30minutes — hour. Clearly it was food poisoning and I was very unimpressed after having a night in hell! However mistakes do happen so a couple days later I went to go speak to a manager. I went in and spoke to a guy an asked to speak to the manager but there was no manager in, so I voiced my concern to him and hoped to hear back from the manager but its now been a week and I still have not heard from anybody!
This will be the last time going to Roos pub and is sad to say because i enjoyed myself at this local pub. If I would of heard back from somebody I would have gladly forgave and went back but maybe just would not of ate there again haha!

oo’s Pub is a great place to go if you don’t like the crowds, I have been there several times and watched pay per views there as well. Seating could be improved a little but with the amount of televisions it is never an issue. They also have darts and pool which is always a big plus in my opinion. I always sit on the upper split level but the patio and main bar area are nice also. Food there is about what you could expect from any pub predominantly deep fried, but nonetheless is very edible and where they lack in any decent drink specials they make up for with great food specials everyday. Also we used to go there after work at about 11:30 pm on down days like Tuesday or Thursday (pay day he he) and they have always made an exception to throw some wings or nachos together for us, which is greatly appreciated. Servers in my experiences have all been very friendly and very fast. The only complaint I have every had with this place is a horrible musical performance one weekend when I slipped in for a drink (my ears were bleeding and I left as fast as I came). The four star rating would be 4 and a half if i had the option. Other than that keep up the good work Roo’s and I will keep coming back.

Came here recently for lunch on Sunday to watch Football.
Pros: cool layout, can definitely see this place getting interesting on a night with a good DJ and a couple of friends wanting to do something local. A lot of large screens and multiple games playing for Football enthusiasts.
Cons: Brutal service, bartender/​server displayed zero emotion and didn’t even take my full order before I finished placing it. Can’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant in which staff were so emotionless and could not inform a customer about «what to eat», «specials» or «popular dishes». I guess this guy looked at me and my friend and decided, «Hey I’m gonna not care about you guys at all and do as minimal as possible to show you customer service. Terrible.
I seriously recommend going somewhere else.

I visited Roo’s having heard about their Football Breakfast in the local paper. I cant speak to what their nightlife is like, but I’ll eat from a dumpster and listen to football on AM Radio before I give that another shot.
I went at halftime during the Seattle Seahawks morning game, thinking I’d watch the 2^nd half and get something to eat. I realized my mistake as soon as I crossed the threshold of the doorway. I realize no sportsbar is going to be Rowdy at 11:30 AM on a Sunday, but the bartender and the occupants of all 4 tables in there were all well above retirement age. Everyone slowly sipped their coffees and ignored the TVs.
The Seattle game wasnt even on ANY of their TVs. The closest thing to a local team we have, playing an amazing ²⁰¹²⁄₂₀₁₃ season, and no one could be bothered to change the channel.
Fine, I ordered my $ 5 breakfast and sat watching the Arizona/​Houston game.
I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, white toast. I was given sunny side up eggs, sausages and whole wheat toast. Excellent. This was corrected very quickly and apologetically, thats where the 2^nd star comes from.
For 5 bucks, I get not to expect much. But next time I’m going to the drive thru and watching the game at home.

The atmosphere here is very clique-​like. For a couple of single girls, it didn’t seem ideal. Now, maybe that was because we went on a Saturday night… so I’ll stay open-​minded.
They had a live band going who seemed quite talented so that was a big plus. However, it was so loud that my friend and I couldn’t really talk. And since it’s just the two of us, that’s what we wanna do!
I’de say this place is ideal for larger-​groups. Not very ideal for singles looking to meet people, from what I’ve seen.
I also saw that they had the kitchen open for view (which is good!), so you can see what the chef is doing. Not once did I see him wash his hands after making meal after meal — not that that’s essential EVERY time… but come on. Not once? Isn’t that kind of like… gross? I dunno… makes me kinda sick.
I would come back here, but only for booze… and only in a large group.

I’m definitely NOT going back. Over-​priced and CRAPPY service.

How does Roo’s celebrate customer appreciation day — by jacking up their already not-​worth-​it prices and giving several people food poisoning. The only thing keeping this place afloat are the great staff that work the tables. Who seem to be on their way out. Roo’s won’t be around much longer.
