We had decided to try a local pub and my husband suggested this place. We liked the feel of the place and the staff was great. We placed our order and out came out quickly. The food was good except the side of fries was very small and we had to order an extra one. We had each ordered a beer and my husband ordered a second pint. I didn’t but she brought one anyway. I took it and it worked out. $ 60.00 later we find out that during hockey games you can get 20 wings and a pitcher of beer for $ 20.00. The waitress knew this was our first time there and did not mention it. We found out from the people sitting next to us. Very disappointing.

Well, a group of us went on a Sat daytime. Waitress with an attitude from hell. Anita, another waitress, helped to save the day. Waitress acted as if we were an intrusion! She was rude to us, condescending, and didn’t give a s__t if we stayed or left. I found out a couple of staff didn’t show up. Who cares? It’s still a business and they should want customers. I sure don’t feel comfortable taking any friends there. If this isn’t addressed, they deserve to sink. There are lots of good food/service/ambience pubs around. I think some manager or owner should see this and pay attention.

Friendly service but the food needs improvement, the hash browns were cold and raw and the eggs just as raw. I’ll give it another shot but I’m not sure if this is the norm or not.

Decent enough place that has been around for a while. I recall the food not being bad at all every time I’ve gone. The beer menu is not bad either. They have some solid selections or standard selections. Really enjoy coming here to watch sports or the ufc fights. It’s always pretty full but at the same time it feels chill, not hectic and noisy like brew street down the street. Service is good too, can’t recall receiving any bad service. They do lots of favours if you ask for any. Restaurant décor, eh, it’s alright. A bit on the older side. But it’s a nice place to take it easy and watch some sports.

So I went to this pub for some drinks and found the staff was lazy unless you were a regular on waitress in particular Denise I think her name was. Was very rude and a shitty waitress forgetting to bring our drinks and when asked she snapped at us made us feel very uncomfortable she bypass use twice to talk to another table and bring them drinks when asked again about our second round of drinks she snapped at us again we finally just went to the bar to pay our tab and leave there was 8 of us and we were there to spend a lot of money but because of her shitty attitude and lack of waitress skills and people skills we went to Roos. Where by the way we had excellent service we spent over 1000 $ and gave our waitress a huge tip thank you Roos

What the? I’ve grown up in the suburban city where this pub is but I never set foot in it nor even laid eyes on it ’til today. I’m utterly confused as to how this could be. But better late than never. I am relieved that I got the chance to check out this beautiful pub and I say to it, «How sneaky of you. Hiding from me after all this time.» This pub is housed in a gorgeous turn-of-the-century house. I think The Frog & Nightgown appeals to a more older crowd though. There was only a handful of young people in their early to late twenties tonight(perhaps a total of no more than four) and they certainly weren’t the loud ones in this pub. As expected, large flat-screen TVs could be seen in every direction. What is particularly unique to this pub though is that there is a mini TV on the wall next to each booth, thereby giving the comfort of seeing a hockey game without the risk of getting neck pain from craning every so often. The waitress was super helpful. She recommended we order the Canucks platter instead of the Frog Platter because, in her opinion, we’d get a far better deal that way. A lot more for nearly the same price($ 26 for Canucks platter and $ 25 for Frog Platter). However, Canucks platter may only be available on the days Canucks are playing.
Food was good but the service was very bad. We sat down wasnt asked if we wanted menus just said what do you want to drink. Orders burgers they were good asked for a refill on our pop about ½ way trough our meal. We finished our meal 10 min later walked up to the server and asked where our refills were she said im just getting to it know. Mmmm no thanks I want my bill so we can leave. Good food bad service and the regulars look at you like they have never seen people before. Will never go back
