So I’m definitely a sneakers kind of guy. Why? Well, there are many reasons. One being that I have flat feet and need wide shoes to accommodate my orthotic inserts. It’s hard to find good-looking dress shoes that can do that. I am also pretty hard on my footwear, often wearing down the soles(so why spend money on expensive shoes when I can get cheap sneakers!?). Then I discovered Spring(sometimes called Call it Spring — make up your minds!). I’ve gotten several pairs of shoes here and been happy with all but one pair.(That one pair? Yeah, it’s my own fault. I thought, «they’ll wear in» and ignored clerk’s assertion that they wouldn’t.) I don’t know what the predicted lifespan but I’ve had some of my shoes for a few years now. They still look stylish so I’m guessing they’re still in fashion. I did have to replace some heels but it’s okay. It’s a small maintenance cost. Staff? I love the staff here. They manage to strike the right balance between being available to help, hovering, and not being anywhere to be found. They often do a quick check-in and then let you browse. If you need/want help, they are happy to do it(or at least fake it really well). The men’s selection is fairly large and if you’re looking for a decent pair of shoes, guys, you can probably find something that fits fairly well and is in your style.

I have been to this store a few times and its a hit or miss type thing. Sometimes I love the service and I feel the people make sure I am ok and don’t or do need help and sometimes I am there for 20 minutes and the 2 people working are to busy talking to each other to notice I am there. There is not a huge selection at this particular store, but that being said I usually don’t leave the store empty handed.
