Kolya Apothecary

I’ve gone into Kolya many times & IF I get served, it’s usually by a somewhat snotty girl who hands me brochures about their 100% natural foundation and then tells me if I want to try a shade to match before I buy I can’t. I have to book a $ 25 consultation, which of course will be waived if I purchase $ 100 of product. I thought she was kidding, or maybe the person was having a bad day –attitude wise… so I returned a few times over the year, same same same.
So — I went online to order from a terrific site, got my stuff immediately, it matched and the owners of the site actually answered my email whereby I told them how I loved their site! MUCH nicer than shopping at Kolya. A shame.

Recently went in, signed up for a class. Service was great… went to look again at natural cosmetics & they now carry the products I ordered online @online prices, without the wait… I was so happy! Staff seem friendlier do here’s hoping it stays that way.

I found out about this store a couple of days ago and I was very excited to walk into the store yesterday. The staff that work there are very friendly and helpful.
I advised that I had always wanted to work with essential oils and make my own skin care products. I have dabbled a bit in aromatherapy already and she pointed me to a really great book of skin care recipes. We also had discussions about different essential oils and carrier oils as well as different butters (cocoa, shea etc). They have a huge selection of essential oils, clay powders and a very large assortment of different bottles and jars for keeping your products in. The book I purchased also came with a gift of 2 different essential oils and a small tin that you could put moisturizer or balms in. We also got a sample of one of their tea blends (delicious) and we got a couple of samples of different teas of which they have a pretty decent selection (all organic too).
Overall I would highly recommend this store for any of your skin or health care needs (Optimum Health is part of the store). I was so impressed with the staff and the store that I went back again today with my mom.
