Optimum Health Vitamins is a leading Edmonton health food retail company dedicated to providing excellent, credible information on a broad selection of reasonably priced supplements which are hand-​picked for their effectiveness and quality. At Optimum Health Vitamins, our team of professionals includes university graduates and Nutritional Consulting Practitioners (NCP’s) that provide nutritional analysis and consultations, plus many other individuals trained in specialty areas.

Optimum Health has 3 locations in the Edmonton area. Including a downtown location in Oliver Square West and a Sherwood Park store on Granada Boulevard.

Our 4800 sq. ft. main store is located in south Edmonton at 7115 — 109 Street and features an Organic Skincare Day Spa and the NEW Earth’s Aromatique — a unique to Edmonton natural ingredient apothecary which offers a huge of selection of aromatherapy and other herbal supplies.

Optimum Health Vitamins was founded by nutritionist John H. Biggs BSC, NCP, OHP.

Optimum has grown over the years to be a trusted retail health food store chain that offers the highest quality natural health products available which are hand-​picked for their effectiveness and quality.

Optimum employs professional natural health practitioners and trained staff that are dedicated to helping their customers by to providing up to date and correct advise.

John has been counseling people on how to achieve and maintain better health naturally for 24 years, and started Optimum Health in 1993. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Foods and Nutrition from the University of Alberta, and he is registered with the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants as a Nutritional Consulting Practitioner. John is also an eager and ongoing student of the Institute for Functional Medicine. He has twice completed their training course, (Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice), and has been a member since 1998. John works out of the Optimum Health Southside location.
