Bed Bug Mutts is a canine-​assisted bed bug inspection service. We specialize in detecting bed bugs using the best bed bug detection tool there is available today — a sniffer dog trained to detect live bed bugs and viable bed bug eggs.

We are not pest control exterminators. We find bed bugs. Period. You can count on us for an unbiased inspection.

We protect our integrity, which is why we follow the ‘show me the bed bug’ protocol. Should the bed bug k9 alert, indicating she has detected live bed bugs, we search for physical evidence to verify the alert.

And we value our integrity — regularly renewing our scent detection certification. Sniffer dog and handler together, as a team, maintain annual accreditation with the following third-​party canine scent detection agencies: NESDCA, WDDO, IBBMA, Falco K9 and Rock Solid K9

Fondé en 2010.

Bed Bug Mutts’ base of operations is our home in Maple Ridge. We are Ken and Sheree and as a husband and wife team, we share bed bug expertise in a reassuring manner. We believe the key to bed bug control lays in education, monitoring and pro-​active canine-​assisted bed bug inspections. «Spread the word, not the bed bug» is our philosophy and our bed bug dog, Loola Loo, is our star.

The last three years has seen an expansion of our services from the residential and hotelier arenas to medical clinics, retail operations, vehicles, libraries and schools — even IT firms.

Our service area is the lower mainland area of south-​western BC (Abbotsford, Burnaby, Chilliwack, Cloverdale, Coquitlam, Delta, Fort Langley, Langley, Maple Ridge, Mission, North Vancouver, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Surrey, Squamish, Vancouver, West Vancouver, Whistler, White Rock).

In 2013, we added an on-​line store offering vetted bed bug tools and supplies to fellow Canadians.

Bio

My earlier career of 20 plus years as a renovator, built upon my BCIT training in Operations Management, has proven a sound basis for the logistics of running a scent detection business. Each inspection offers different challenges, unique histories and a chance to be of assistance to someone who is struggling to resolve ‘their bed bug concerns”.

The last three years have been immensely satisfying and I am gratified when my clients thank me for educating them about bed bugs, teaching them how to establish an early warning system and returning a measure of peace of mind so their life may return to normal.

I spend my working day with my bed bug dog Loola Loo at my side while helping people protect their home, their family and their business reputation from a nasty, prolific pest. Could life get any better than this?
