Knockout Pest Control

Like the rest have already said. Ryan is great. Left my contact info and issue on his website… ants, yup ants in January. What can i say, radiant heated floors and a wife that likes the temp at around 25 degrees… my foundation must be like a beautiful beach.
Anyways i called up another outfit that is rated highly as well and they were like «we can get there end of the week», they came, they saw, then it was like, «yeah you got ants, strange for this time of year» we will come back and spray… in like 3 weeks. You kidding. I left Ryan a message, he returned the call the same day, he came over 2 days later and took care of the situation. I understand that getting rid of ants is über hard… especially pavement ants that are basically down somewhere in the foundation… so who knows they may pop there heads back up… at the moment (2 weeks later) all is good.
Oh and on top of that he used up way more «chemicals» than expected (3700 square foot house and he had to get the whole floor, so just the main floor call it 2000 square feet, because the ants where not concentrated anywhere… they were visiting everywhere) i actually told him to charge me more because i realized his quote was based on a normal setting of «hey the ants are all in the kitchen» not «hey the ants are everywhere»…i asked to pay him more and his response was «i quoted xx» and I stand by my quote.
I’ll bring Ryan back in the summer to go around the outside of the house and get them before the cold weather hits.
Hire this guy over the others he really is great.

True story. Knockout Pest Control is great and has solved our rodent problem (mice in the house). They are very responsive and effective. Great follow ups.

I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed a business on here that isn’t a restaurant or store, but I have to make an exception for KPC. :) I called them to look into some rats that were making their way into the house. Ryan is very knowledgeable, and awesome at his job. I learned a lot from him as he explained every step of the process. A few rats were caught within the first few days, but he was still very thorough in his follow up inspection. Like every other reviewer on here, I can’t recommend Knockout Pest Control enough.

Straight up, Knockout is amazing. I emailed via the website one evening, had a response early the next morning and by that night I had an appointment for THE NEXT DAY. By contrast, I emailed Orkin before contacting KPC and they still haven’t got back to me! KPC is seriously on the ball.
Ryan is an extremely professional and knowledgeable guy. He seems very interested in providing customers with the best value. He answered all my questions, explained the equipment used, offered me several options, and even pointed me at storefront locations to buy the extra equipment I needed — in his words, he could sell me gear, but it’s cheaper to buy it myself. How’s that for you? No up-​selling or pushing his services!
I would recommend KPC to anyone.

I have nothing but great things to say about Knockout Pest Control in getting rid of our pest issues.
We have had a mouse problem for a couple years now and no exterminator has been as great as Ryan has. Ryan came and spent almost 2 hours at the house where he inspected every inch of our home (inside and out). He inspected every area I had seen droppings or previous mice. He was extremely knowledgeable about mice activity (possible routes of entry, ways to help prevent, materials to use to fill holes etc.). Having dealt with multiple exterminators before, I have never seen service like this. He has continued to come back for follow ups and each time he is here, feels like the first time. His work ethic is the same every time, he is determined to find out the problem and find ways to fix/​get rid of the route issue. He also comes with a guarantee with his work.
He has been able to catch multiple mice since he’s been here and now we have seen no new droppings or new mice since we called him. Needless to say, Knockout Pest control will always be the company we call for any pest issues.

Really good services and a really nice man! Ryan helped us get rid of the mice and wasps problem! Glad we called him at the first place!!! He also checked our house before leaving to make sure everything else is good. A hundred percent sure five star for him and his pest control services!

I wouldn’t have expected to describe getting rid of wasps as a a five-​star experience, but Knockout Pest Control was terrific.
Ryan showed up the same day I called, coming by in his evening to deal with a difficult-​to-​reach nest inside our porch wall that had proven resistant to any sprays. He explained to us exactly what he was going to do, charged us what he quoted on the phone, and guaranteed his work for a year.
We now have a wasp free porch for the first time in months, and I know who I’m calling the next time we have any pest issues.

I had a minor issue with yellow jackets gathering and presumably building a nest around my house, and there was a cluster close to the front door. I was pretty worried that they were building a nest right above my door and wanted urgent service. Ryan (the manager) was able to come within the hour (during the evening) to inspect the house and treat the problem. He was courteous and reassuring. He offered to take a look around the entire house and even noticed additional hives, which he promptly took care of. Will definitely call Knockout Pest Control the next time I have a pest problem.

I would give KPC a ten star! KPC turned a pest issue to a very pleasant and educating experience, and Ryan has set an exemplary level for any servicing companies to follow. My 85 yr old uncle lives by himself and his house had serious bed bugs issue. I live in Los Angles, and was desperate to find someone to get rid of the bed bugs for him as I was planning to visit him over the weekend. I found KPC on Unilocal and talked to Ryan over the phone when I was still in LA. He is so professional and helpful, and reassured me he will do everything he can to take care of the problem for me when I go over to Vancouver. Ryan was kind enough to accommodate a pre-​inspection on a late Saturday afternoon. Not only is he knowledgeable, helpful, thorough and professional, he even took the time to educate us on everything about bed bugs. Due to the complications of the situation my uncle has, Ryan took the initiative to evaluate on different options of taking care of the problem to make sure it is 100% successful. He really cares about his work and his client’s needs.
My uncle’s place was a mess and filthy. Ryan offered some objective recommendations according to our needs. He knew that we were trying to clean up the place and he took the initiative to look up for us companies that do bio-​cleaning, disposing of old furniture etc. He coordinated everything for us and even helped doing some of the work for us himself. Since I had to come back to LA before everything is done, Ryan took charge of everything including follow up work. I got updates from him via emails and phone calls or text. I couldn’t even express enough thanks and appreciation to him. He made my life so much easier! I couldn’t imagine if I didn’t find him, what I would have gone through, I wouldn’t even know what to do with a huge mess like that.
Now my uncle’s place is bed bug free, cleaned, and totally transformed! Like Ryan said himself, he stands by his work! He really does that, and he goes more than an extra mile!

I am very happy to say my ant problem is over! Knockout Pest Control did a great job. They were on time, very respectful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company to anybody with pest issues.

Excellent efficient service! Ryan is professional, knowledgable and friendly. He took care of the ant problem and taught me a few basic ant 101 tips! Ants were pretty much all gone after 3 days. Price is reasonable as well! Definitely will use his services again if needed.

I called another pest control company prior to KPC and I was utterly disappointed. The company promised my mice issue would be ‘quickly’ resolved by setting a few traps in and around the house. Needless to say the traps stayed for over a month and nothing was caught. After this frustrating experience it was time to hire a company who knew what they were doing.
I finally did the right thing by calling Ryan from Knockout Pest Control. Ryan was very informative and educated us about mice behaviour to help resolve the issue. His approach was not of covering up the problem but rather figuring out why we have the problem in the first place. He helped us to understand why our basement attracted the mice to share the space with us. His approach for catching the mice was strategic, he knew exactly what would work and what would not.. Ryan’s executional strategy worked and we caught a mouse. Hooray!
Ryan was very professional and I HIGHLY recommend Knockout Pest Control. My only regret is I wish I had called him sooner. Thank you for the fast, friendly and efficient service.

Our house has had carpenter ants for the last few years but this year hundreds of winged ones were getting in the house. We called around and decided to go with knockout pest control. They were the most professional and came over right away. We haven’t seen any more ants since! Thanks guys!

Some context: I was actually hired by KPC to do some graphic work when I encountered some pest issues of my own in my home… an awful coincidence!
I was obviously distressed and turned to many different companies for advice and to inquire about services available.
What I noticed with KPC is they are very knowledgeable, yet practical. I really appreciated the advice I got over the phone, and I was very pleased to be able to keep the pests at bay, thanks to Knockout Pest Control.
I found some other companies to be very dry (or rude) when calling to book for a quote. For me, when I’m experiencing stress, I really appreciate good customer service. KPC has great client service and I would recommend anyone I know around Vancouver to go to them.
