Overdue Review — Got a promo deal for a hot stone massage plus sauna, it was the perfect combo I needed to relax myself from work. I happily booked the appointment but this place was definitely understaffed, only 2 people were working at the time I was there; which explains why it was hard for people to schedule a time. I got a big room all for myself to enjoy the sauna, shower then hot stone massage on the 2nd floor. I find that the sauna was too short as I had to rush to shower before they came in. This was the 2nd time I had hot stone massage, and it was good! I don’t think the other reviews gave fair indications of the massage experiences. However, the lady did pick up her phone in the middle of my massage and was talking to somebody for a minute or two which I found unprofessional. So 2 stars deducted for the overall experience. I would love to get another HOTSTONEMASSAGE here, though I am not a fan of any other aspects of this spa.

I came to Lemon with a friend for a 60min hot stone massage and infrared sauna. I’ll keep this short as our treatment was much the same as other peoples reviews. Service was friendly enough. Front desk looked a little ‘fly by night’ but we were greeted with smiles by both reception and the masseuses. We moved upstairs where we were placed in a room together… good thing we’ve been friends for a while! Could be a little awkward with the wrong person! Infrared sauna was ok… it was a bit small but nice and warm. Honestly, I don’t see what the fuss is about. Had a quick shower before the massage… this was a nice feature. Next came the terrible massage… I don’t think the ‘masseuse’ was formerly trained/certified and I was worried that improper technique could leave me injured. I came away relatively unscathed… but did not feel relaxed in the slightest. Avoid this«lemon» at all costs!!!

Just to echo the same points as the previous reviews, except I got a full refund from LivingSocial after I emailed them the below review. That was the only good part of this story. Otherwise, our time was completely wasted. 1) It was incredibly difficult to book an appointment. And the only appointments they would be able to book, are only partial appointments ie. only the massage + one infared sauna session. We only got a booking because someone cancelled at the last minute. Otherwise we had to wait until the next month at least. When we arrived, there were no other customers in the spa and the two people who were at the reception were the same people who did the massage. Therefore they are obviously understaffed and looks like they can only take maximum 2 customers at a time. This was on a Saturday afternoon when it should be busier but they still are only accommodating 2 guests at a time. In order to book the second session just to complete one voucher is looking very hassle-some and not optimistic. 2) The massage was not an hour long as stated. It was probably closer to only 30 minutes since the time between walking through the door and walking out was just over an hour. After you subtract out filling out the initial administration forms, undressing, waiting for the masseuses, the infared sauna session, getting dressed, and settling the final bill(taxes and gratuity), the actual massage time was probably 30 minutes. Furthermore, we arrived 15 minutes before our appointment so our massage time would not deducted from being late or the preparation/administration time. In summary, we don’t think it’s fair they are understaffed and we a) have to make 2 visits to complete one voucher and b) have to book at least a month in advance each time to make an appointment. In our experience, when it’s near the expiry date of the coupon, we understand if the vendor is overwhelmed by everyone redeeming their coupons at once. But this is not the case. Furthermore I heard from another unsatisfied customer that they saw the spa’s coupon promoted on another website, thereby increasing their coupon business without having adequate resources for customers to redeem these coupons. This same unsatisfied customer told me that during their massage, the masseuse stopped several times to answer the phone since they do not have a receptionist. And worst of all, they are not even completing the service by giving only a 30 minute massage instead of the stated 1 hour massage. Perhaps this is how they squeeze in more customers by shorting the massage time.

Worst massage we have ever had. I bought two packages for myself and my husband thru Living Social — 2 infra red sauna, 1 — 60min massage, 1 chocolate body scrub. It was hard to get through to make a weekend appointment. 2 days before our appointmetn time, they called to change the time from 2:00 to 2:30pm. That was fine, we got there and they made us wait about 15mins because the party before us were late. We found out they had to bump us to accomodate a large group. That part was fine, we were OK with that. The worst part was our massages. I dont think they are professionally trained. Both of us are athletic and normally go to spas that know how to give a theraputic massage. This experience was nothing like that. I felt like i was«petted» for an hour with overzealously using oil. The worst part was them smothering massage oil over our faces! No wonder they are always on the«social deal websites» you get what you pay for!

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star, the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I agree with the reviewer below, they NEVER answer their phone. I bought a massage and sauna package on living social, so I had no choice but to continually try to contact them for an appointment. Their voicemail is always full, and when I tried to send an email, it bounced back due to a full mailbox as well. Eventually, I had to actually go to the there in person to make an appointment. They were booked a month out, understandable since quite a few people bought the living social voucher. Figured since I made the appointment well in advance there would be no issues. they split my serve into two appointments, one for the chocolate body scrub, and another for the 1hr massage. I called the day before my appointment to confirm my appointment, but of course, no answer. I didn’t have time to sit there and redial over and over again, so I just hoped for the best. I showed up 15 minutes early for my 1130 appointment to take care of any paperwork or registration. The doors were locked, and there was no one in the reception area. Odd, because the posted business hours are from 1030 am on Saturdays. I waited outside for a half an hour before a worker showed up, who was absolutely no idea, and kept in saying that her manager told her to come in at noon because they no booked appointments.(huh, then why are there business hours posted when you don’t plan on keeping your business open during them?) She called in the«manager» to come in who then confirmed that she had no recollection of BOTH of my appointments in her computer system. They only answer she could give me was«I dont know» repeatedly. She then checked her notebook, and of course, both appointments were in there. Frustrated, not only did both of my appointments that I waited a month for disappear, the«manager» was rude, and did nothing to remedy the situation. The only suggestion she had was to do the service now … Which would mean cutting down my service time since I had to pick up someone the airport at 1. She seemed to think that this was a suitable remedy, and paid no attention to the fact that I had waited a half hour outside. I had no choice but to rebook my appointments and wait, again. The actual service its self was very unsatisfactory… My massage was supposed to be an hour, but I was ushered out after 45 mins. What a joke!
