A lot cleaner than the other McD’s eateries in the Richmond area and not as busy, two huge pluses. I came here to work on some homework and have a latte which was surprisingly good. I had very low expectations, however, it was the only place that was open at 6 am.

Bleh! I normally don’t eat McDonalds but for some reason i was craving a burger from there. I got the Quarter Pounder w/cheese and could NOT stand how slopping it was prepared. I ended up eating the fries but throwing out the majority of the burger. This McDonalds is really nice and the customer service at the window was great! The young lady was super friendly which is why i’ll give the the 2 stars. I think i’ve learned my lesson, LOL.

I was mesmorized by all the small details this McD’s had once entering and after some time I’ve decided to drop a 2-star on you due to what my take-out looked like. I don’t know what training the people in the back get, but you might as well tell them to play abit more of ‘Cooking Mama’ on the Wii cause the sausage McMuffin I got was a sorry excuse of something a child could have put together prettier than this piss poor looking degenerate of a handheld breakfast snack! Let’s get to the kinda good first, it’s close to the airport but not in the airport. You’ll find many people who work around the area here, from people in shipping to people who work on planes, and it’s a good place(if you want some fast food in hand) to watch planes take-off as it’s at the end of the runway. Flying high with McD’s food… oh the dream indeed! This place has some décor that I have never seen at any other McD’s, that being picture frames with older planes, chair backings with an image of a plane carved out of it, outside… palm trees in planters… wait a minute, I’m not in Hawaii, or in any Southern state to even have these plants, it’s freaking cold up here, the only thing warming these plants is next Spring and Summer and a crew of air technician’s outside having a coffee and a few smokes, where is the thought in this. I looked at their door, and noticed that this is not a 24-hour location, probably the first I’ve seen where it’s a stand-a-lone spot that isn’t open in the goulish hours! It’s one of the more cozier looking McD’s I’ve been into, this one hasn’t(yet) gotten the renovations to make it look in-line with all the other one’s around the Lower Mainland. OK, enough with the ambience, time to get to the food. Sometimes you just need an evil treat, and nothing is better than breakfast in the morning at the ‘Golden Arches’, and there is an expectation that the food should just kinda resemble the stuff on the pictures your throwing at me on the menu… kinda. I know the pics are made to look all pretty and perfect, and I’ve had my fair share of this junk from multiple locations, multiple cities, multiple countries, and this was the ugliest under construction sandwich I have seen. When I unwrapped the package at my work, the crumpet bun was cracked in half, through the middle, the pattie was coming out on one end… and on the other end the cheese was flopping around like a limp broken arm, dangling on it’s side. I was surprised that the cheese didn’t even melt, and it was a good 10 minute drive to my work from this location, makes me wonder if the sausage was even hot, or just luke warm? Good thing it still tasted like the fast food I knew and loved at one point of my childhood. I hope the next time I come here(full blue moon…) I will get a well constructed sandwich, other than that, the location is obscure, and it gets you out the door fast, oh, and you can watch planes take-off.

A nice Rmd feel to it, b/c you’re by the airport, look at the chairs ;) Came in today for the Hello Kitty toys, it’s for my niece lol. yes, really! Just a toonie or so as long as you buy something; better than in the past where you had to buy a whole combo — don’t need to be tempted to eat the french fries. One minor gripe are the washrooms, only individual, so you have to wait. Wouldn’t recommend here if you need more time ;) great for tourists who want something fast, open fr 6:30am til midnite only. wifi yes.

This McDonald’s is seriously an anomaly. Normally you’d expect a certain type of décor, a certain ambience. This one has neither. And I mean that literally. The only thing consistent is the food itself. Parking is available in the spots out front. There was a ton of space as I came here in the evening, but during business hours I can see this place filling up completely. So what makes this location so different? It’s airplane-themed. The outside looks like any other pre-McCafe McD’s, but the inside looks like an aircraft hangar. The ceiling has trusses, there are photos of the walls, and the lights use enclosures that are similar to those on the sides of runways and taxiways. The chairs have airplane cutouts, and the walls are covered with pictures of aircraft. I’m sure the designer tried getting creative, but in this case it totally does NOT work. The incandescent bulbs all over, combined with the extremely dim lighting(I’m sure people will have trouble reading a newspaper in here), makes the place look like either a construction site, or an abandoned warehouse. Both are not good. Vincent N. and I weren’t sure if the place was open, until we saw people inside. There isn’t even an «OPEN» sign outside, and the«Drive Thru» sign outside was also off. Scaaaaary. As Larry L. said, wow, food prices have gone up. Big Macs cost $ 4.59?! Holy geez. Meals cost less than that not too long ago! If someone from the corporate office is reading this, please brighten up this location, and lower the prices a bit. Both are killing your chain.
