Definitely a hotel past it’s prime, but it is priced right for what it is and does this slice of the market very well. This is a totally kid –friendly (waterslide) hotel that is very conveniently located near the 401. The temp control in the room is the best I’ve seen in a hotel (didn’t need to fuss with it at all). The facilities were all clean and well stocked. They’ve obviously done a lot with soundproofing as there was a party somewhere on our floor (barfing teens in mini dresses by the elevators late at night when I was headed down to the lobby for a smoke) but we heard none of it. The beds are doubles instead of Queens but the rooms and bathrooms are a good size. Charging $ 12/​day for parking in Scarberia is cheeky– as are the room service prices but that’s pretty standard amongst Toronto hotels. This would not be where I’d suggest you stay on your wedding night but definitely a great short stay for a family vacation.
