Alright! You listened. I went back as I was going to the Promenade to get a few things and when I walked by… I couldn’t resist, but to have a DavidsTea. I went inside and YES! Greeted by happy, friendly faces! Wow! Really? I didn’t say anything. Then, one of the workers I usually seen, Michael I believe is his name… walked inside and introduced me happily to the new manager of the store… Robin. The most adorable girl. What a smile. No, seriously. I was like«This girl LOVES her job». She was pointing out what I should get like she knew everything and gave some wicked suggestions” So, I gave in to her advice and yeah! «Alright» I said. «You just started here» She told me she was working previously at the Vaughan Mills location. So, yeah! BONUS This girl knows her stuff. Amazing though, as I was already going to the Vaughan Mills location as an alternative location as the manager I complained about was seriously ruining the store and the employees just were not happy. Speaking of which… I will have to tell you NOW about the Vaughan Mills location… errr. BUT, for the record… DON’T TOUCHWHATISBRILLIANTNOW at the PROMENADELOCATION. I am looking forward to the renovations. The new appearance and Robyn and the employees that are there now… compliment the whole concept of terrific change for sure! PLEASE don’t break it again. YOUWILLLOSEMEFOREVER… and hundreds of thousands more too.

So many selections and always a sample at the door. The staff are knowledgeable and so helpful even though we might have a lot of questions or want to smell many different varieties of tea. My one stop shop for all my tea needs especially since they’ve been only expanding their selection, including beauty supplies like lip balm and tea pops. Daniel is always awesome!

I was stopped by people just to ask, where I found David’s tea, mind you that’s when I got back to Woodbridge. The selections are yum! And the staff are very friendly and knowledgable :)

I hate tea… Maybe i did something wrong with my steeping or it was infused with drugs… My entire promenade experience today was great. Comparing to my local(vaughan mills) teavana Staff 5* Price same Décor worse but better(can’t express in type) Really helpful staff, not pushy, downsold(recommended cheaper items to do same thing) Fast If everywhere i shopped was running like this place i’d be a happy piggy

Today I had my first experience at DAVIDsTEA and it was alright. The lady behind the counter was a huge tea-guru and helped me out in finding the perfect tea. A bit of miscommunication with the order but that’s alright! I understand human error and totally forgive it. The reason why this location is getting a 3⁄5 is because the second lady behind the counter was talking about customers such as myself(indecisive and needing a bit more assistance/time) and expressing how it frustrates her. I don’t blame her though, I understand it can be irritating, especially when you’re flying by on caffeine rushes. I felt a touch unwelcome but I will return. Benefit of the doubt, maybe she was just having a bad day. Future tip: Express your frustrations when customer’s aren’t present. EDIT: after posting this review, a rep from DAVIDsTEA contacted me via Unilocal and expressed her apologies for my experience. It wasn’t even that bad of an experience and they still felt the need to satisfy their customer! Two big thumbs up there simply because service can make or break me. They definitely won me back even though I never left :)

I have to update my review. Since my last review was posted David’s Tea has gone above and beyond. Someone from head office contacted me and I told her about my experience. She was eager to hear all my advice on how this location could improve. Since we had this conversation, all of my experiences have been extremely pleasant at this location. The sales associates working have improved 10-fold. The only negative is the long wait at times but I’m at the mall enough I can always come back another day. I am very pleased with how they improved their customer service!

I much prefer this location(in Promenade Mall) than in Bayview Village. If the teas are the same, the differentiating factor is service. It always seems that the associates in BV’s Davids Tea are cold and indifferent. But in Promenade, it’s really about customer service. My mom really wanted to take advantage of their buy $ 50 or more and get a free bag deal. The sales associate we dealt with was very accomdating and let us know when we hit our $ 50 mark. Furthermore, my mom was looking for the Pom Power tea and they did not have it right in the store. They searched high and low and went to some magical storage place that was not in the same location as the store, only to tell us they had none left whatsoever. In compensation, they gave my and my mom two free tea’s of our choice. The reason? For the inconvenience of waiting 3 minutes while they searched and my mom and I lounged. The serve made all the difference and my mom and I spent over $ 200 in teas just because we were given samples of this and that, we could smell different teas, we engaged in conversation, and before you know it, we went away with hundreds of different tea’s. Warm service. Knowledgeable sales associate and great teas. By far, my FAVE location. 11⁄30

Like most of the Davids tea locations, the décor is pretty standard, with a large tea tasting bar one side and on the other gift sets and sampler boxes. They have a couple of tables and chairs(like 2) to sit down and enjoy your tea, but this location isn’t really a place to sit and linger. Customer service is ok, but slow if you aren’ t the one being attended to. So stop by if you have time to kill, otherwise you might be in for a wait, with only two people serving customers on the counter. Try their Earl’s Garden black tea, which is a blend of Earl Grey tea, with berry pieces in it, which makes it a nice fruity tea, having it iced or hot without sugar.

I am a Tea Drinker. so my review of Davids Tea can be a little bias. The reason I know about Davids Tea is because I receive a gift box Tea Party and I tried their tea at the yoga studio I frequent. I have to agreed with other Unilocalers, this store is so clean and chic. I would not have know it is selling tea. I was there on a Monday afternoon so the store was really quiet. I just want to take a photo of the storefront. But the nice sale lady ask me to sample 2 of the tea she prepared. Yummmm And of course, I ended up buying some tea. The Bear Trap($ 6 for 50g) since I ask her to recommend some berry based tea for me. She gave me 3 choices and let me smell them. they all smell so so good! I would definitely go back and sniff some more tea… and I would go online first to do some research so I can narrow down which one I want to sniff out!

This location of DavidsTea is within Promenade Mall so that means it operates during Mall hours. Look for it on the second floor turning the corner from Coach and Swarovski. If I never went to the one on Queen St. I would have had the initial image of a store that looked like Fruit & Passion of sorts until a closer inspection that shows the METAL tins with tea names rather than Perfume or Soaps. We got there before noon hours and were the only ones there as we were offered PINACOLADA Tea(MEH) by the single staff on this Sunday. The benefit of this company is that we were able to look through their selection online first prior to coming to purchase. The service was nice as we asked for other suggestions before we went back to the one we decided on previously, Green & Fruity(A-OK). I’m not a fan of these fruit flavoured TEA yet as I’m more of a traditionalist but I can see the G&F flavour can be a good cold iced tea. This might be THE location for our specialty teas for the Summer as afterwards we can go downstairs to T&T Promenade for lunch and shopping and because T&T Lunch no longer provides TEA to accompany, I should have saved my sample for lunch instead. :(
