I had chance while visiting Toronto to go the the beauty bar with my cousin while she went for hydra facial I decided to get my teeth whitening done. The experience itself was peaceful and the staff really educated me through the whitening process and the exact shade I will be expecting. It’s been two weeks And whites are still pearly wish they had beauty bar here in OC but until then will defiantly be going in to see them on my next visit.

«Lucky for you, you’re Asian, so a package of 6 sessions will probably be good enough; most people usually need to buy more sessions to completely get rid of hair, though» …so I was told by a young lady with frighteningly warped and immobile LA Face, who worked in the reception area of Beauty Bar Laser clinic when I arrived to book an appointment for the laser hair removal packages I purchased. Six sessions didn’t do it for me. I bought packages for two different body parts; one of them has been vastly improved, one of them looks like I never got laser, and neither of them are hairless, like I wanted. I guess my Asianness didn’t work in my favour. The service is consistently poor. The receptionist would always be yammering on the phone, often in a foreign language, and sometimes in a foreign language with one of the technicians. She was consistently cold and brusque. As for the laser sessions themselves, they were not really painless, but much better than traditional lasers, which I’ve been told are very painful. You basically feel the tip of a really hot wand passing over your skin. As long as the technician makes sure it doesn’t stay in one place for more than a split second, the sensation can’t really be construed as pain… but if they move it any slower than that, it can really burn — especially if the protective gel is wearing thin. I also find that the technicians are not thorough in making sure the entire area they treat is covered. That’s what I’m unhappiest about. And I guess they must treat people with different hair patterns than me because they often treat places that I had no hair in… One of the technicians would take off her glasses and scrutinize my naked body parts before treating me every time, and she used to keep asking me about where I work because she really didn’t want to work there anymore — she was paid minimum wage and had no benefits. So she’d ask me every time if there were job openings and how much my firm pays, after staring at parts of me naked, which would all make my feel extremely uncomfortable. This is just an all-around grim place and they do a poor job. I guess you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t recomend it at all.

It’s been well over a year and the company never did anything, other than this reply to my original review, to try and regain my business. When I took the new manager up on his offer to contact him, we exchanged one or two emails and he said he would have a receptionist contact me to book me for another appointment that would change my views on this place. That never happened. Still giving the one star because I can’t give zero stars.
