I have been bringing my clothes for dry cleaning and repairs for 2 decades. They have always done great repairs and their cleaning is very well done and on time as ordered. The fact that they have been around for as long as I can remember is a testament to how good their service is.

I would not recommend their services. When I picked up my item from alterations(which I brought in brand new with tags) it now had a big blue pen stain on it. I pointed it out and they tried to tell me that no one uses blue ink in that store… that set me off! How insulting! Correct customer service response would have been to be apologetic and offer something right away… If you pretend to care and are sympathetic clients can be very forgiving. average cost of hemming a skirt at other locations $ 25…what davenport tailors charged $ 70.

STAYAWAY! This place is basically a legal extortion racket. They don’t post or display prices for their work and if you don’t ask, they will then charge you easily 10x normal prices when you pick up. I paid almost $ 200 to get a couple of minor alterations and repairs made on garments that probably cost $ 120 to buy in the first place. I don’t think that a place that would exploit their customers in this way deserves anyone’s business, but if you must use them, make sure you get a written quote prior to dropping off your garments, otherwise they will basically add an extra zero to the price on pickup. VERYSHADY.

It took me two trips to get a SINGLE button on my winter jacket repaired at this place, and they still didn’t get it right!!! I would not recommend.

Completely unprofessional in a prime location. Don’t fall victim to the location lure of this place. The rates are way way way too high for terrible service and avg/below avg quality of work. They intentionally do not quote or provide pricing upfront so that they can do the work and gouge you on pick up. The justifications for the insane rates: «I have to pay my staff» That is not your CUSTOMER’s problem. You run a business: provide fare rates for the type of work being done. And, oh ya, why don’t you clean the dead insects off your neon sign in the window. Find another good tailor in the city, there are plenty.
