terrible. I am pretty sure there was chicken in my lentil soup, as a vegetarian this was very gross. the guy who i believe is the owner, or someone that has been there a long time because the other worker was asking him questions — anyways he was rubbing his face a lot, and was getting stuff out of the back with his plastic food gloves on — what is the point of wearing them if you are going to touch everything? He was really cheap on the vegetables in my spouses wrap, he squished the wrap together. when i asked if a bun came with my soup he went off about how the soup is too cheap to add a bun. I had read online it came with a bun. he proceeded to speak over me. very rude man. would never go here again.

As far as cafes in the back of convenience stores, this one is well worth trying. It’s something of a Extreme Pita Pit style store, where you select the ingredients and the staff person builds it on demand. I generally get the vegetarian falafel at these types of places, and they’re pretty much the same. This place does it a little differently: the balls are smaller and moister, and just this little difference elevated the whole pita sandwich. The service was friendly, but I would have liked to know more about the ingredients in the lentil soup. If it had no dairy I would have tried it, but aside from«it has no oil» he didn’t know much more about it. When I mentioned that I was lactose intolerant he helpfully pointed out the ingredients of the creamy looking sauces like tahini and hummous, just in case. I liked that he was paying attention, even if he didn’t know the answer.
