I’ve been patronising George C. since it’s opening at Hazelton in 2007 and have nothing but great things to say about the store and service. George the owner has an eye for picking up the smaller brands for the Toronto market and his staff (I shop in the men’s section) has always been most friendly. I recently purchase d a blazer at 50% off sale and JP offered the alterations and made sure it was done right the 2nd time, all for free when most stores charge alterations on discount items.

Perhaps this isn’t a fair assessment, but based on the fact that NO ONE even acknowledged me in an empty store says a lot about their customer service! There was only one other customer who was trying on boots. Otherwise, the store was dead.
I dropped by ’cause according to the ‘net, George C is one of the few retailers who carry Fiorentini + Baker boots. The F+B boots were even on sale here, at a fraction of the original cost, not exactly the model I wanted, but I still wouldn’t purchase from this store!
Terrible and unnecessarily snooty. Hello, it’s Toronto, not Paris or even New York!
