A very small park which spans the width between two residential streets in the Alexandra Park Community. There’s a wading pool, a playground, drinking fountain, four benches(within the park and three outside), a picnic table and some trees along the perimeter of the park. It’s a quaint parkette for families living nearby and enough for the four legged friends to do their business. Am sure it’s good for the kiddies if parents don’t want to walk the extra steps to Alexandra Park where it can get crowded. This park was previously known as Carr Street Parkette, but was renamed in 2010 to honour Arthur Randy Padmore who was one of the first African Canadian whom lived in the area. He provided community service to the area and was a big advocate of social work with youths. His passion was community projects and public services within the Alexandra Park and Atkinson Housing Co-Op.
