This coffee place is awesome! One of the best things about them is that they have this drink you can’t get anywhere else: the cajun mocha. It’s kind of like those chili chocolate bars, but in a drink. It’s my favourite coffee drink anywhere. They also have free wifi and it is a much quieter place to work than Starbucks or Blenz. It’s also a really cool atmosphere and I love getting work done there. So glad it opened up nearby!

I have not had their coffee. First time I went in, I tried their chai latte and I fell in love. Now I have to stop in for a fix about once a week. I also regularly get a craving for their chickpea curry wrap and wow, this thing is yum and filling! Great for breakfast or lunch — if you dine in, it’s served with a light mixed greens salad. They have comfortable seating inside as well as patio seating outside. The interior is large, spacious, and overall feels inviting enough to spend some time there reading or chatting with a friend. In the past couple months, they added gelato in several flavors. You can sample before you buy. I haven’t had any yet, but good to know you can grab a quick gelato and drink as you’re headed out for a stroll on the seawall. As Taylor K pointed out, they do have some gluten free baked goods, as well as gigantic rice krispy treats. That said, I’ve only had and can only really comment on the chai latte and chickpea wrap but thos do rock my world. Service is friendly, prices are okay. They have some specials scribbled on the wall but I don’t really pay attention to those. Also, the menu has weird and unnecessarily gimmicky names. Oh, and there’s always a fresh bowl of water outside for your doggeh, so that’s a sweet touch.

This is a pretty convenient location to stop in and get their rubi rooibos tea because it is located close to the David Lam park. I have also noticed they have couple gluten free option bakes goods and gelato. The arm chairs are pretty comfy and the store is big enough to accommodate a stroller which is always a plus in my book. The staff there have been always friendly. It isn’t my go to coffee shop but it is A– OK.

Go early if you want one of those nom-tastic sandwiches! Last time I was in around 1:30pm and they were all gone! :( Go on Mondays for a half priced Cajun Mocha. Seriously. Go. It is the best spicy mocha I’ve ever consumed.

Bah Bah Blaq Sheep, Have you any coffee? Yes sir, yes sir, Three cups full. Sounds like a nursery rhyme doesn’t it with it’s cute signage. Located in Yaletown close by Roundhouse and Davie Street on Pacific Blvd. I’ve heard many good things about this independent coffee shop. I’ve heard how between 11am — 2pm you get a free coffee with a lunch item or that price points are pretty reasonable. At first look this coffee shop is intriguing, red walls, comfy seats and Nood concept like wooden chairs in the back. The coffee itself is not bad. But because of the dim lighting we couldn’t help falling asleep on a quite Sunday afternoon. How could the 2nd cup of dark roast not keep us caffeinated and stop us from yawning profusely. The reason is simple. The dim lighting and the overcast environment isn’t where one should dwell in. Neither is a filthy washroom. Never have I seen such an unkept lavatory. My natural instinct is if the washrooms are dirty(especially if the establishment isn’t busy) it is a reflection of the kitchen. Don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon. But if you are a newbie christening this«sanctuary», 1st time checkin on Foursquare grants you one free 12 oz drink. Bottoms up!

I wasn’t planning to go here but needed some lunch and was standing in front of it. It’s a cozy little place that replaced Waves. Their lunch selection isn’t huge but they had a few sanwiches and various wraps so I went for the Chickalicious(I think that’s what it was called) wrap. As I picked it the woman behind the counter said that’s the one she was going to suggest. Then she told me that between 11 – 2 you get a free coffee with a lunch item. Bonus! A wrap and a coffee for $ 7? Not bad. It took a few minutes to grill it. Wasn’t expecting that but was pleased to get my nicely warmed wrap back to my desk for a working lunch. It was really delicious! Nicely spiced and very flavourful. The coffee was good too. They had some delicious looking muffins so the next time I need a morning snack at work I know where I’ll be going.
