Went here the other night. Big mistake. Ordered chicken and lamb platter. Tasty. Authentic. Inexpensive. All these, they were not. Lamb was over priced and chopped into non-recognizable bits. Was it meat or lamb? Mmm. can’t really tell. Tabouleh never tasted this bad. It tasted like soggy, sour kale chunks. The pita bread is like one big oversized chip. It crunched upon eating, no joke. The white sauce was confused. It didn’t know if it was either ranch or tzatziki. Anyhow that’s the last time we go there. The curiosity killed this cat. Don’t recommend. Go to the pizza place next door instead. 2 stars only for vast seating space and the décor.

It’s tasty:))))And also we can eat many vegetables and meat. I would like to recommend friends.

Mehhhhh. I’ve tried lots of vegetarian falafel plates in Vancouver, two of my favourites being Pita Wrap Café and Falafel Maison, both downtown. Usually for about $ 10 you get a generous portion of falafel, seasoned rice, a little spinach pie or samosa, dolmathes, tabouleh or Greek salad, and hummus and pita. In Donair Land, $ 10 gets you falafel, plain white rice, a «salad» made of tomatoes, green peppers, parsley and cucumbers, and pita and hummus. Literally about half the portion I’ve had anywhere else. It was also pretty bland — I ended up dumping leftover tzatziki all over it once I got home, which made it edible. The two stars for the fast service and the fact that the falafel was okay.

Pretty cheap and tasty donair I say! I usually order the original chicken and it’s plenty of food for a small Asian like me. It’s exactly $ 6 after tax, which costs a dollar(or more) less than in other places. I like how their meat is always smoky, not dry, and their flavors are well balanced. Their sauce is not too tangy, no bitter undertones, not too salty. Veggies are fresh. My only complaint is all over the board I see extra etc charge for extra scoop of veggies, sauce, meat, etc… kind of makes you feel like you have to take your wrap as is. I do appreciate that they do specifically ask you if you want hot sauce and onions in your wrap though. If you come here for a snack with a friend, you can ask them to cut the wrap in half for sharing. I’ve also tried the Hawaiian version, it’s also tasty but it costs about $ 2 more and the portion is noticeably smaller(which doesn’t make sense). Depending on who is serving you, the portion sizes can differ. The Asian lady is always working there, every time she makes a consistent, well sized wrap. The owner(in a ponytail) makes really HUGE wraps– so if he makes your wrap you are in luck! Very convenient location, if you are waiting for your bus at Joyce bus loop, you can just run across the street and pick up a donair.

Nothing special, convenient location for the Skytrain commuters. Once you’ve had Aladdin café or Zeitoon, you pay a bit more for much better quality. Accept credit cards. Don’t do delivery.

I see this place all the time when I take the bus home, however, the other day was the first time that I actually came here and ate. You can have a platter of meat, rice, sauce, veggies, humus and pita for $ 10 which is an amazing deal. They take cards which is helpful. The guy at the counter is really nice. The chicken was a bit dry, however, it was past 10 when I ordered, therefore, I didn’t make it that much of a deal.

I’ve been living in the neighborhood for 10 years now, and still have yet to try all the places to eat. Tonight, I decided to give Donair Land a go! I ordered the regular beef platter to go.($ 10.00) Not too bad at all! Tastes pretty good, but could use a bit more meat/sauce in portion size like others have said in their reviews. Yes, I was served by the Asian lady. With that said, I will be back to try their other menu items.

I love this place! I first found it through Yrlp and fell in love once I tried it. I have added this to my list of favourite places to eat. I love the lamb. The beef is great and still have yet to try the chicken.

Very tasty donair. One of the best I have had in Vancouver. It could be made better by adding Halifax style sweet sauce but the tzatsiki is very tasty.

Food is okay, the chicken tastes great, beef is good in a donair, the lamb tastes nice. The hot sauce is straight tomato sauce so you have to ask for the extra hot which is really regular hot. The short lady is sweet and nice. The other lady is not friendly, she will bark to you in English and than immediately say something in her own tongue to the other employees. When the man is there he is always telling her how to serve the dishes so I can see her plight. They do not have smaller containers so don’t ask for anything on the side, seems like they are dead set against anything they deem as «extra» customer service. This place could do way better if they treated their customers like they wanted to see them again.

For a cheap meal around Joyce you can’t beat Donair land. They offer an assortment of donors, falafels and platters with really quick and friendly service.

I like this place, and seeing as I live in the building above it(Joyce Place), it’s super convenient. But not everyone is as lucky as I to live on top of a donair place, so here goes… I really do love Donairs. They are relatively healthy, and this place is no exception. They donairs themselves are quite good, and the staff are friendly after you’ve been a few times(I see the pony-tailed owner often). The only complaint I have: if you go during the daytime, the wife is working, and she seriously skimps on meat. So, if you see a girl working the counter, please ask her not to skimp on the meat. After all, it is pretty expensive compared to other donair places.

Glad to see a donair restaurant in this neighbourhood that is lacking in food varieties — it’s either pizza, subs or Chinese cuisine. I’ve been to Donair Land a few times and I must say, the food isn’t bad. The donairs and rice platters are freshly served and the fusion of flavours will leave you craving for more. However, their prices are a little on the expensive side with this type of food. In other donair establishments, I’ve seen the same food $ 1-$ 2 cheaper. Not that I’m complaining though because the food at Donair Land is delicious and convenient. They are located along Vanness Avenue, just across the street from the Joyce skytrain station. If you’re taking a bus and stopped along Joyce Avenue, just walk a 50 meters west along the south-west corner and you’ll find it. Service here could be improved. There are times when line-ups have been out the door and I’ve noticed on a few occasions that the gentleman who arranges the food doesn’t pay attention to orders. It’s frustrating, I know, but once it’s done right, your stomach will be pleased.

I just noticed this new restaurant today while walking to the mailbox! Although the name sounded a little cheezy, the interior looked clean and welcoming so I popped in. The thing that caught my eye was that they offered garlic sauce! Being from the East Coast, I instantly thought of the sweet garlic sauce that accompanies our donairs back home. The sauce wasn’t as sweet as I hoped, but delicious nonetheless! They also have tzatziki and hot sauce. The menu was small, but the food was good, relatively inexpensive and a nice change in this land of bubble tea and sushi! I recommend trying it out!
