Going to The Chapel was founded by MJ Ankenman. After watching her friends struggle with finding an appropriate location for their small wedding ceremony, MJ saw the need for beautiful, intimate, affordable venues.

MJ’s background is in promotions and retail, specifically fine art, crafts and gifts. MJ has been known to organize some well attended and talked about art openings and events in her time. She is currently a licensed Realtor in Vancouver. Looking back on her career, MJ realizes she has always been helping people. MJ also has a degree in photography from the world renowned Ryerson University in Toronto. You can find her writing and photographs sprinkled around the internet. MJ is responsible for the GTTC website, sourcing suppliers and venues. She will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding GTTC.
