Cheap, fast. Exactly what you would expect for the price. Breakfast for 3 people under $ 15 sounds good to me! the young girl who works there is nice. Sure, it’s not fancy or hip, but when you’re hungry for breakfast and only have $ 5 it’s perfect. Also, has wi-fi now.

Went for the 2.95 breakfast only to find out it was now a 3.95 breakfast! This Hong-Kong style café has both Chinese and Western items on the menu, and the dining area is clean and GREEN. Eggs were poached alright, but sausages were funny-tasting(chicken and pork I suspect). Hashbrowns were cold, probably also from a bag. They brought me brown toast instead of white, when I clearly said white when I ordered, so that had to be remade. Also weird tasting, like it had been stored near Chinese Five-Spice or something. Salt shakers pour tablespoons of salt onto your food if you don’t use them with surgeon-like precision. Same as the white pepper shaker?(No black pepper at a breakfast joint?). An hour later and I have a greasy feeling inside… Not worth it. Service was polite and attentive and I did have a burger there before that was just«alright» so gonna give them 2 stars for trying at least. Not in a hurry to return.

We came here on a sat for brunch I suppose. The place looks a bit ghetto inside, but not the worst I’ve seen but what do you expect when you can get a decent breakfast for $ 2.85??? This is probably the cheapest place I’ve ever been to for breakfast for sure. Quality was fine and food was decent and presentable. The only thing is they were a bit off on our orders; for example ordered over-easy but got sunny side up etc and we overheard that they also got the next table’s order mixed up as well. My advice is to visit this place for more cheap breakfast before it closes down because I am not sure how they can run a business for such low prices. Street parking available.

Terrible. We ordered their chicken curry and dumplings. The people seemed really nice and the dumpling was ok but what the hell is with the curry? Nearly $ 10 for a curry chicken that is mostly chicken gristle and skin with chunks of potato that were only partly cooked. The«curry» was predominantly spicy with some oil and tumric for colour. No flavour aside from a little sweetness which was not what I was expecting. It was the blandest, stoupiest excuse for curry I have ever had. I always like giving hole in the wall kinds of places a chance but now I just feel like puking. Did you guys just throw your compost in here or something? Terrible. No wonder I never see anyone inside.

I kept wanting to trying the all day breakfast when I drove past the restaurant. I finally found a date in which my family was able to join me. We arrived shortly after 9am on a weekday. We were seated promptly by the staff. Menus were offered right away. All 3 of us ordered the $ 2.85 breakfast plus drinks. I think the value is definitely there. Considering the cost of food these days, you really do not get much for $ 3. The hashbrown was nicely pan fried. I would have liked a heartier piece of bread than the fluffy brown variety. The eggs are on the smaller side, but was cooked as requested. I found that there was more than enough food for myself. Restaurant is clean and tidy! I really appreciate the effort of the staff to maintain the appearance of the restaurant. Service was great. Food arrived quickly. Our server was lovely. She kept checking up on us to refill our drinks.

Went here for breakfast twice. First time I ordered the $ 2.85 breakfast with over easy eggs, sausages and hash browns. Sausages were a weird colour and looked if they hadn’t been cooked enough. I asked for no toast and asked if I could have extra hash browns to compensate. She said yes but in the end charged me an extra $ 1.50 which I had to argue with the owner saying that she did not notify me of the change in price. The owners said that they had to charge me for the change and I was pretty upset at that However, when my boyfriend wanted to go another time for breakfast a second time before studying, there was a different staff which were MUCH nicer. This time I ordered Sunny Side up eggs with bacon and asked for no toast again. Hash browns were different this time, first time they were shredded and now they were just sliced. They also do not have their own wifi. Overall, I’d say it’s an ok place, just be cautious of any changes you make to your order as you could be charged.

Ordered Chicken Fried Rice. Correct portion. Did not see very much vegetables. Included Chicken reasonable amount. Cooked well. However, I was not flavourful or rich. Standard fried rice with some chicken and vegetables. I was in the cage at 11.30 and no one was there. Ordered the meal immediately. It took about 20 minutes to deliver the meal to the table. I flet it was too long. Anyway, I felt food was fresh. Breakfast was quite popular there. I will try next.

I was starving after picking up my son from preschool at 11:30. So we decided to try something new by going to the Green Café. First of all, they don’t have a kids menu and aren’t willing to make the portions«kids size». All my kid wanted was Pancakes. So I had to order 3 instead of just 1. Ok fine. The waitress offered my kid a drink, and brought him a pop without asking me. I don’t normally allow my 3 year old to drink pop. Then neglected to ask me or even bring me water until we were about to leave. I ordered the mushroom cheese burger. It came out and right away I could tell it was processed pre-sliced cheese, almost like kraft singles. I looked under the bun and the burger was half the size of the bun. Ok fine. I proceeded to take my first bite, not bad. Than I looked at the inside of the burger and saw the beef was still red in the middle. I told the server and she brought it back to cook it more. She brought it back, left, I again looked inside and it was still red. I complained that I won’t eat an under cooked burger and she assured me that it was supposed to be red because of the sauce that the factory put inside. Needless to say, we stayed until my son finished his 1 pancake. Other 2 I’m sure went to garbage, even though I said he would only eat 1. Paid the bill and proceeded to go to triple O’s so I could eat something! I might go back for their $ 2.85 breakfast if Bons is full.

Came by after seeing a sign for a $ 2.85 breakfast. Cheaper than Bön’s? No way. Parking is available on Broadway outside of rush hour, as well as a side lot beside the building. The inside is painted lime green, as the name would suggest. Nice and bright. Staff are friendly. Looks like a mom and pop operation. So, how does the breakfast compare to Bön’s? Let’s see the differences. — Toast is 2 whole slices, not cut up — hash browns are made from potato strings, not chunks — 3 eggs instead of 2, though the eggs are definitely smaller here — food isn’t as greasy It’s hard to say whether or not this place is better than Bön’s — it’s just different. The waitress mentioned that many customers often compare this place to Bön’s, and it’s easy to see why. I also had a mushroom burger. Not bad, though the patty was a bit small, and the ribbed fries were obviously of the McCain variety. Nothing special, but decent comfort food. I’m sure I will be back at some point. Can’t really go wrong with this place.

I never really review anything, but I feel like I need to tell my friends about his place. This is my first review, so bare with me. Vancouverites, if you are looking for cheap, delicious and healthy foods, I would recommend going to The Green Café. Everyone knows that It is expensive to live in Vancouver, so honestly, as a poor student, getting a bill that’s less than $ 5 after getting 120% full is a total steal. When I arrived at the restaurant, i was greeted with a warm smile, and was immediately given a seat. I ordered an all day breakfast for $ 2.85 and 1 hot tea. They asked me if I wanted toast, and I said no. The waiter said he would give me more hashbrowns instead. I said that is fine. I half expected to get a small plate with just a just a little bit of potatoes on the side, but to my surprise, the portion was actually quite big! The scrambled eggs and sausages I got were delicious. They also gave me a ton of hashbrowns, like half a plate. So before I even finished eating I was stuffed. Edit: it seems like they will add a charge if you replace toast with hashbrown now. But it is still worth the price I wouldn’t expect 5 star restaurant quality type of food, but the efficiency of the order and the portion of the food left me very satisfied. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in a hurry and if you are looking to get really full for a low price. This is a new restaurant it seems. It only opened a few weeks ago. The family running the restaurant is vey nice and friendly.
