Historique

Fondé en 1987.

Originating in 1987 as La Movida Design, Laurie Allan-​Franks began the company as a clothing line, manufactured in Vancouver and distributed throughout western Canada. Since then the company has evolved to become La Movida Sewing & Design Studios, a creative applied arts studio specializing in teaching sewing, illustration and textile design.
