I have been here twice now, the first time I ordered the 2 piece($ 14.99) a bit on the pricey side compared to other fish n chip restaurants in White Rock. The second time my bf and I both got the 1 piece($ 9.99) and we enjoyed it, was very filling. Love the large cut fries and the cod was super fresh with a light crispy batter, not overly greasy at all. Small portion of tartar comes with so we usually end up paying for extra. The coleslaw costs extra as well. The tables outside are a bit squishy but there is a great view of the dock and Ocean. The young woman who served us was a bit odd, she kind of just walked up to our table and stared at us, didn’t ask us if we wanted drinks to start or if we were ready to order… just kind of… stood there and stared at us… was an awkward moment. This was both times we went here to eat. It didn’t seem like she enjoyed her job or really wanted our business although we were very friendly and polite. I don’t think its intentional, just lacking in experience within that sort of industry maybe? Overall, a great pick for fish n chips but I still prefer Moby Dick’s and will be going there from now on(they throw in an extra piece of fish for free and give you all the same goodies @ a cheaper price) But not bad if your @ that end and want a quick bite by the dock.

Probebly the worst fish and chips in White Rock. Even the restaurants nearby who are NOT Fish and Chip Shops serve better. Small portions, soggy tasteless batter and overall poor quality. Over priced for what you get and do not compare with the other Fish and Chip shops, particularly the shops in east beach. If you want good fish and chips go to East Beach. If you want GREAT Fish and Chips try Moby Dick or for the VERYBEST try Coney Island Fish and chips. They have been voted the best Fish and Chips in town several times. Always fresh, always light crisp batter and fries that are not soggy and over cooked. You will enjoy your meal. I am a White Rock resident and have tried them all. Enjoy.

Gave Docks another visit after a few years, they have changed owners many times over the years. They have a great patio, great view and cold beer. I was pleasantly suprised to see they have a special 1 piece cod and chips, well priced. Went in wanting this and a cold beer. Ordered a beer displayed in the case and was told they only had on tap. So why was it on display. Ordered the special, a cold beer and sat myself outside . Restaurant was not busy, 1 table. The patio gradually filled up when i was sitting there Drinks and food arrived quickly . Fish was good, cooked enough, batter a little soggy but not greasy. Chips were good crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and hot. They still serve this in a newspaper cone, kept the fries hot and its unique. The service was good but a little indifferent, not unfriendly. You think they would be happy to have people arriving at the restaurant, ordering drinks and food . The beer and wine prices were a little high . The food was good, I would go back, its too bad that the indifferent service and high drink prices have me second guessing this.

ehh had the chicken strips, they tasted like they had been frozen, dry and not really seasoned. another person had a burger that had that plastic cheese stuff on it. Another person had fish, they were small and Not really worth the money.

Great location but Fish & Chip are just ok! It was a hot summers day we spent in White Rock, I love WRock its flooded with waterfront restuarants all claiming really good fish and chips. We spent Canada day here and after spending the morning running in the hilly streets of WRock we decided we didn’t want to walk any further, so we opted to eat at Docks. It had just opened so it wasnt busy at all. The menu was typical fish and chips. I ordered the lunch special came with 2 piece cod and chips. It wasnt that bad, the fish was dry but the batter wanst bad and I enjoyed the chips. The portions were good fish and chips came in a cone shaped news paper. Service was not the greatest, we waited just to order with no tables around, food took a little long, and again once we were done we had to find our server to pay. Most likely wont be back.

The fish and chips were ok. The batter for the fish was a bit wet, so it would crumble when i tried to fork a piece. I’ve had better fish and chips.

I would recommend going anywhere else for fish and chips. I ordered 3 pieces of cod. One was overcooked and dry. One was just barely cooked enough. And the third was salmon. The replacement pieces were raw. The next replacement was barely cooked enough and was swimming in grease. I had to spit it out. And the chips were dark but completely undercooked indicating that the oil in the fryer hasn’t been changed recently. What a nightmare!
