Came back and tried again — much better quality this time round — place has been renovated too — nice update on décor /colors, food was fresh and hot(as it should be) patty filled the bun — Staff — meh — bit of an attitude — but joints like this are not showcased for their service — it is the food that gets u coming back. From this visit — we will be back.

Thot I wud add a real review. There on one of Winnipeg’s coldest days –30 before wind chill. That didn’t stop regulars from coming tho. My first time. Ordered the standard cheeseburger, with fried onions. Chilli sauce was part of the deal, tasty and not overpowering. patty also ok, hand packed etc. Fries are real, plentiful and quite good, not the best but up there. Staff was ok, basic service and had to chase them for the bill. No biggie tho.

I recently ate here on a trip and the food was mediocre at best. I also recently read an article describing the bigotry of the owners, which was even more disappointing than the food.

mr infantis is apparently having sex in the back with his underage waitresses. right where they cook the food. he is a homophobe, a bigot, and runs a health hazard of a place. do not eat here

anytime im in town you can find me here. I’ve been hitting all the Georges around town for years and love them all. The fries are delicious and the portion is way more than you can finish. I usually go for the pizza sub heated up with no onions. The burgers are huge and also look pretty good but havent had one. If i’m not eating a pizza sub I go for a gyro or chicken souvlaki sandwich both are excellent. The breakfast special is also solid, nothing fancy just basic Dennys kind of breakfast.

Had lunch here at this greasy spoon with a friend. He ordered a fat boy and fries(6.99) and I ordered the slightly healthier(by not much) Fatboy with Greek salad with diet Pepsi(12.99). GS was great with lots of feta. Burger was crunchy and slightly overcooked.

Food is excellent for a fair price. What sucks is the service, which I think is due to the fact that the poor servers must tip-share. This is the kinda place a server starts out, and once you start to get good at your job you go elsewhere to keep your hard earned money. Besides that, this place is an institution of southern Winnipeg.
