I’ve had a great conversation with the owner/​manager who lived in Fort Lauderdale, if you’re complaining about larger portions get the Mega Stuffed Burrito!!!

The servings are small for the price. Three tacos is not a dinner for the average male. Mexican food is a modern variant and not traditional.

MTC is not terrible. My wife and I have returned to the Grant Park location a few times. The choices are well-​balanced with memorable flavours.
The only problem is that their version of 3 tacos with chips/​salsa eats more like a snack than a meal. If you want a light meal then Modern Taco is a good choice. If you want something more substantial then perhaps their competitors will satisfy larger hungers.

I wnet in here with expections from the other location and walked out thinking it just did not measure up to my experance at the other location. Its an ok place to stop if we are in this mall, however I do not see myself making a trip here.

Second location for Modern Taco Company that’s operating out of the Grant Park Shopping mall near the new Co-​Op Grocery Store end of the mall. This place seems to have more seating than the Academy one and much better ventilation so you don’t leave the restaurant smelling like fried food.
Got 4 tacos for $ 10.85 which included a side of chips with salsa. Carna Asada Argentina — marinated grilled steak was a bit tough and the tequilla shrimp was mild. It was disappointing that there weren’t any salsas available at the counter other than the mild one.
Service was decent and the restaurant was really clean. They have taco Tuesdays for $ 2 each vs $ 3.45.
