Au Port de la Lune

We decided to have dinner at ‘au Porte de la Lune’ after having read some reviews on the Internet. The location of the restaurant has changed since some time and unfortunately; not for the better.
Maybe we were unlucky, but we were the only table the whole night (8Pm — 10h30) which of course does not contribute to a cosy atmosphere. It needs to be said that the pricing is very correct and the menu choice well balanced especially as concerned the menu of the day. This, helas, was the only positive point we managed to recollect from the whole evening.
The foie gras was served almost as a take away dish.
The Steak tartare was served with mashed potatoes. ‘Interesting combination’ that unfortunately lacked any culinary aspiration. The pavé chosen by my dinner date was uncuttable not in the least due to the blunt cutlery.
The 2 staff present were more involved in their post season cleanup of bar and stocks than with its (only) guests. All in all a very disappointing dinner on which we had put a lot of expectations.
Maybe it’s the change of venue from La Bocqueria to Pau Claris, or maybe we were just unlucky, but we were not able to find ourselves in any of the previous experiences we read on Unilocal

Au Port de la Lune no está más en la Boquería, sino en la Calle Pau Claris. El ambiente es grande con muchas referencias a la cultura francesa en las paredes.
Yo he ido en el almuerzo y el menu es de ahorro total: 11,90 con entrante + principal + postre o 9,90 con entrante + principal o principal + postre.
Estaba todo perfecto. He comido de entrada un pescado ahumado que estaba buenisimo. La ensalada con huevo poche también. De principales, he comido un cerdo ahumado con pure de papas y entrecot con pure de papas tambien. El pure tiene una textura increíble y las carnes muy macias y sabrosas.
De postre, una tabla de quesos franceses.
Por la noche tienen otro menu un poco más caro con platos muy tipicos. Y el menu del dia cambia siempre.
