Avenida Palace

I would likely rank this as a 3.5* & not a 4. This is an old authentic SPANISH hotel. There is nothing special about it, except the top floor which gives a great view of Barcelona. The place was so busy the staff were curt in their treatment of the guests but to a certain point I understand. Nothing didn’t work in the hotel. The room was roomy & well equipped but as I said it’s an older hotel. The win for this place is its location. It’s in the middle of Barcelona very close to the Ramblas, Barcelona’s main drag.

Stayed here one night after our honeymoon cruise. This place has an excellent location. Right in the middle of everything. Room was clean. They have a bell hop service. Front desk was friendly, informative and helpful. I made 2 local calls to a restaurant. € 2 for each call. They offer breakfast. Our plane left early so we checked out at 3 a.m. I asked if they could pack us a breakfast the night before but we couldn’t be accommodated. I do not know their parking situation as we were without a vehicle. Overall a good experience. I would stay there again WHEN I go back to Barcelona.

To mention the rooms are haunted! Disgusting! Changed hotels after the 2^nd day!

Ideally located but not the standard I expected for this class. Started with a very cool reception by the front desk and then a horrible check in experience that seemed slightly confrontational.
Rooms are dilapidated and sorely need to be renovated. There are much better hotels in the area that also offer fake laminate flooring, water damaged walls, and plastic furniture.

We recently spent two nights here. It’s only a couple blocks north of the Catalunya Plaza and Las Ramblas, so it’s convenient and in a good area of town. The room was clean and pretty standard, and the bathroom was handicapped accessable and large. No tub. The room could have used one more painting on the wall.
The front desk was fine. The Wi-​Fi password changed everyday, and only one person in the room was allowed to go on line at a time. Doorman was helpful to us. Small but beautiful hotel foyer.
My only gripe was that we were supposed to get a free breakfast, but we forgot and the front desk never mentioned it to us.
Avenida Palace was moderately priced and is a decent place to stay in Barcelona.

This place was quaint yet the service was great. Great location and access to all transportation, I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to have easy access, great service and something central to Barcelona sights.

The location of Avenida Palace is excellent. I felt it was in the middle of the city, not far from Las Ramblas, walking distance from multiple tourist attractions as well. The service was very kind even if English isn’t their first language (and why would it be). It would be no shock to say that I’m a bit of a diva when travelling… or all the time really. This trip consisted of Barcelona, Paris, and London and this hotel provided the largest room by far. Huge bathroom. My one complaint is that the «King» bed was actually two twins pushed together and I manage to fall through the middle one evening. I thought it was odd that they didn’t even try to pin them together. The breakfast buffet was your typical buffet. It also helps that my favorite Barcelona restaurant is around the corner. Ciudad Condal!
My two cents: Great location, pleasant service, nice enough room.

The hotel is great, we booked him for about a month before departure to Barcelona. The hotel has secured his own transportation from the airport to the hotel, that we are very pleased. At the reception, there was no queue, so we quickly got the room card so we can go to relax after a long journey. The room was beautifully sunny, the bed was comfortable, just bothered me that it was in the bathroom tub. Everything else in the hotel was great, I really could not complain about anything. If you ever visit Barcelona definitely come back.
