We went to Bembi while we were in Barcelona visiting from Chicago. Coming from a place with many Indian restaurants my standards are pretty high for Indian food. Bembi definitely lived up to it and more! Onion Bhaaji was amazing! We got paneer butter masala and Kadai paneer. They were both good! The service was great as well! You get a 35% discount if you make reservations ahead of time from trip advisor.

Delicious Indian food, quiet environment. Drinks are great, food is full of flavor. One of very few indian restaurants in the City but definitely one of the best I’ve had overseas.

Great menu and service.
Vindaloo was excellent. The sauce was subtle, and didn’t overpower the meal. (Still hot though!).
Definitely go back there again with the kids (teens).

Hoy un restaurante indio muy céntrico, de esos que ves al pasar constantemente pero que no entras ni una sola vez.
Pero ayer la cosa cambió y entramos a comer algo. Y no está nada mal, la ambientación es tranquila y un pelín oscura, las mesas y las sillas cómodas y suficientemente separadas las unas de las otras como para disfrutar de un poco de intimidad.
Si queréis comer a buen precio siempre podéis pedir el menú de unos 15 euros aunque hay algunos platos con suplemento. Pero no es muy caro. Las bebidas y los postres están incluidas así que gastaréis sin sorpresas.
Y como ya sé cómo sois os voy a decir que no hay mucho picante, y si lo hay os avisan. Así que una opción muy sólida en el centro del Eixample.

Fuimos con un descuento del tenedor y gracias a las muchas buenas reseñas del mismo sitio. Y, bueno, nos quedamos un poco decepcionados. El Naam y el postre estaban muy bueno, la entrada y el plato principal sin embargo no fue tan impresionante. El pollo muy seco y el salmón también (y eso que yo pensaba que era imposible dejar seco un salmón). Con el descuento tiene un precio muy interesante, sin embargo, no volveremos y daremos la preferencia a otros Indios en la ciudad.

What a pleasant surprise in the middle of Barcelona. I just loved it. This is the best Indian food I’ve ever tried. As a Indian food lover I’m always looking for gems like this. The place is trendy, casual and immersive. The food great and the service in accordance to the place. You will feel welcomed and pleased with every taste of the wonderful dishes available. I’ll be back for sure and I’ll recommend to all of mine friends. Good food and spice food addicts will enjoy

Two stars for ambience and service. I am not writing this review after one visit, we have been there few times. I must say food is average, and on top of that prices are almost double compare to other places. Not worth it. Vegetables are not fresh in the curries, paneer is cheese from supermarket, taste is ordinary, and all come in little quantity. When you are paying almost 30 euros for a meal, you would expect better taste and quantity. Not recommended if you are a food lover, looking for authentic taste.

Well. Hmm. I was so excited for this place, after reading a ton about it on Unilocal,and doing a fair amount of research into other Indian restaurants around.
I was so excited for the food, being a die hard Indian cuisine fan. I was actually pretty disappointed. The food seemed to have too much of one spice, and not really that much else. We got two different types of naan, one that had garlic, and one that was cheese filled (don’t ask me why), and they were both sort of tasteless. We also ordered onion fritters, which were halfway decent (maybe the best part of the meal). When the curries and so forth started to get to us, everything started to taste just so sadly meh, and boring. Some dishes were even things that I really didn’t want to eat. It didn’t even really taste like Indian. I’m used to always feeling really full after going to Indian restaurants, but this time, I just didn’t eat that much. :(I wanted to love it. Even the mango lassi wasn’t that good, and the masala tea tasted like water, flavor, and milk (no art).
The ambiance is really sweet though, with elegant seating, and nice lighting.
The prices are kind of high. Around 12 or so for a simple dish, which I honestly didn’t find worth it.
The staff was pretty nice though, and just the right amount of making sure that we were well tended to.
Very average, maybe towards not so good. Not bad food at all, but I might choose somewhere else next time.

El Bembi lo descubrimos a través de una web de recomendaciones como Unilocal.Fuimos allí sabiendo su carta y sus precios, la comida verdaderamente exquisita pero el precio muy elevado. Nos hubiese gustado comer un poco mas por ese dinero.
Mi pareja y yo nos pedimos un entrante variado y dos pollos uno tika massala y el korma 1 con arroz blanco y otro con arroz especiado. Un postre a medias y dos copas de vino. Las raciones eran muy pequeñas y no llegamos a llenarnos. El coste total rondó los 70 €, un poco excesivo. Pero si tienes un presupuesto más desahogado que el nuestro es totalmente recomendable porque la comida es exquisita.

This is the real deal. You know you are in a good Indian restaurant when there are Indian families seated around the place. The décor is subdued and elegant with good acoustics (read: sound absorption) so it feels intimate, even when the restaurant is full.
It is pricey but there are group specials to be found online. In our case, we were a group of 10 and got a sampler menu. We got a lot of delicious food, though I think i will order a la carte next time, and there will be a next time for sure. The wine was excellent and the service impeccable (a real plus for Barcelona).

Fantastic Indian food and great service. Lots of servers spoke English and service was snappy and friendly. Great experience. Also contrary to note on info page, restaurant dress code is casual/​business casual, not dressy.

Buen opción para ir con amigos, sentarse en una de sus enormes mesas redondas y compartir varios platillos.
Todas las opciones son muy buenas.
Desde el tradicional pollo, el suave cordero o picantes y apetitosas opciones para vegetarianos.
Lo que más me gustó fue su variedad de tés.
Un lugar sobrio a media luz, con una cocina llena de color y sabor.

Bembi was a great place to have a nice Indian dinner. The ambiance was great. Nice lighting, colors, accessories, dishes, etc. The staff was really friendly, and most spoke English if needed. The food was pricey, but there was a good wine selection and a large variety of food. The tasting menu was an excellent option if you’re in the mood to try a bit of everything, it even comes with dessert. Overall I was really pleased, and if I get a chance I’ll go back.

Bembi es un restaurante indio de decoración exótica y sobria. No esperes un ambiente romántico ya que las mesas están muy juntas entre sí; pero disfrutarás de su oferta gastronómica.
Los platos están presentados de forma moderna y elegante y sus recetas basadas en la tradición culinaria india adaptadas al gusto local. Ninguno de los platos es exageradamente picante a no sea que lo pidas, y esto es de agradecer si no estás acostumbrado a los currys y a las especies indias.
Si no conoces la comida de este país del sudeste asiático te recomiendo que pruebes el abundante menú degustación. ¡Te encantará!

Restaurante con ambiente y gastronomía India.
La decoración como podemos imaginar es toda india, desde las plantas, cuadros, pinturas en las paredes .
Lugar tranquilo y diferente, sus camareros son amables aunque un poco tranquilos.
Entre sus platos destaco el cordero con arroz. Son platos rarísimos pero estan buenos, y te dan la opción del picante suave o intenso.
El precio está muy bien por unos 30 euros puedes probar otro tipo de comida.
