I stayed at the Confortel Auditori during my visit to Barcelona and it worked out really well. This hotel is about 15 mins walking distance from La Sagrada, the famous Catholic church by Gaudi. The hotel is also near train stations and about a 20 min drive from the airport. The rooms are kept clean and in decent shape. During my stay, the hotel was very quiet and I didn’t even hear anyone else’s presence from my room. The wifi can be spotty and the shower was a little weird. Half of it didn’t have a glass door or shower curtain so the water would splash out onto the floor. Other than that, everything was fine and for the price, I think it’s a great deal. The surrounding area is also pretty safe and I walked around quite a bit at night. There are nearby tapas restaurants and small grocery stores so it was convenient.

Another great find though the wonders of ! This place albeit is away from most touristy attractions, but such great value when you arrive. There was free and consistent WiFi connection throughout the hotel and the room was beautifully modern. The concierge spoke perfect English and was very flexible with our early arrival before check-in time. My only complaint about our stay was that we noticed the walls and doors are not really good with keeping in or out noise. Luckily, we had a fairly quiet floor with some short yet loud vacuuming noise every morning. Overall, this place was a great find prior to our trip and walking distance to the Sagrada Familia. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others after giving them notice about thin doors and walls.

Was much further out then we wanted. Tiny pool on roof that closes early. Room was decent but not at the origional Confortel Barcelona as we had origionally paid for.

How come we didn’t stay any longer in Barcelona? I think this might be my favourite city on earth, and this hotel served us just fine throughout our stay. We booked online using a deals website without really knowing what we were getting into. The site said the hotel was downtown, close to lots of cafes, bars, shopping and sightseeing. Well, it turns out that most hotels in Barcelona are close to a lot of things, but we lucked out. The location of this place is pretty decent — only about a 10 minute walk from the Sagrada Familia and surrounded by a ton of little cafes, bars and tiny grocery stores. The standard room was a decent enough size with a comfy bed. The room was a little bit cold and we kept having to adjust the air, but everything else was fine. The fridge/freezer was perfect for storing our pint of Starbucks ice cream(Europe, you have the best things). The TV even had a few English channels. The lounge downstairs is really cool and modern, just like the rest of the hotel. I like the style. I wish we could have had more time here to explore the lounge area and test out the gym. I guess we’ll just have to come back! The staff here were among the friendliest we encountered on our whole trip.

Not a bad hotel, modern and clean etc. Air conditioning didn’t work so check as soon as you get to your room and change rooms if yours doesn’t work. It’s in quite a residential area but fine if you don’t mind a walk or tube ride to Catalunya etc. Beach is close, just 5 mins on the tram.

The Confortel chain offers a pretty modern, and slightly business focused hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, even when we forgot the code for the room safe. The location is not fantastic for most tourists but the immediate area is nice enough. That said Las Ramblas is only a 15 minute walk away and the nearest metro is about 3 mins away.
