I stayed here recently for 5 nights in a single room and it was definitely only meant for one person as it was very small but it was fine, the bathroom was a great size and the shower was fantastic. My first afternoon there, I was having a little nap and I was woken by an extremely loud banging & what sounded like a jack-hammer being used on the connecting wall to the hotel. It was truly deafening. I went down to reception to be told it would stop in about half an hour. I came back later that night and it had infact stopped, the silence was lovely! But first thing next morning, think it was just after 8am, it started up again. Not even earplugs or my headphones turned up to maximum could hide the noise. First time I’ve ever complained to a hotel about something and the lovely guy at reception moved me straight away to another single room at the opposite side of the hotel. There was not a lot of natural light in either of my rooms, they both faced onto the back of the hotel and the sky couldn’t even be seen so it was very dark. I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, at € 10 I thought it was a bit expensive so I got breakfast every morning in the Bracafe down the road. Wifi was excellent, great speed and no problem connecting. There was a minibar /fridge and safe in the room which came in very useful. Room was cleaned daily and it was done to the highest standard. There was no tea /coffee making facilities and no iron. As there is tiles on all the floors in the hotel, early in the mornings you could hear the cleaners wheeling their trolleys and people walking & talking, so don’t expect to get a sleep in. Would definitely stay here again, really close to all the main areas & the staff were lovely & very helpful.

We booked a standard twin(got a great deal on it) but on arrival they upgraded us to a suite, reason? ‘normally we have a lot of businessmen coming here but since the financial crisis it’s not very busy so we’ve got plenty of empty suites’…awesome. The room was big, the interior nice, a great little terrace, free champagne in the room… nice walk in shower. There’s also a restaurant, we had lunch there one day and it was the best meal we had during our trip for a reasonable price. It’s close to Barcelona’s best attractions. Would love to come back here.

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Constanza for six nights during the summer of 2009. We absolutely loved the experience. The rooms are small, but very cozy. The space is filled with modern amentities, a beautiful bathroom and a deck overlooking a courtyard. Just a few blocks away from the Plaza de Catalunya, Las Ramblas, and the metro, this hotel puts you in the middle of all of Barcelona’s best attractions. For its location, the price is fantastic. We stayed for 90 Euros a night, which translated to roughly $ 120USD at the time. They offer a small but delicious breakfast for their guests, which save you from having to pay for breakfast elsewhere. Their staff is friendly and extremely helpful. If you don’t speak very much Spanish or Catalan, they will gladly talk to you in English.
