A quick pint to hide from the afternoon rain turned into a 9 hour session on a Sunday afternoon! Unexpected and highly enjoyable. We started off with a few draught pints, filled our boots and sobered our tipsy heads up with a selection of starters: nachos, curry chips etc — all very tasty but nothing outstanding, decent pub grub that set us up for an evening of generous G&T’s. Some friends joined us in the evening to watch the Barca darby game on the big screens that were pulled down just in time for the match so don’t let the small TVs fool you. We sat at the bar all day, had very attentive and helpful staff and spoke to a few locals and the owner too. Thanks Dunne’s, you stole a day of our break but we’ll let you off with that ;)

I don’t want to sound rude but this place was was my least favorite experience in Barcelona. I know, I know, I made a mistake by going into an Irish bar in Spain, but I’ve had lovely experiences in Irish Pubs all over Europe and this place appeared on some lists as a great place to watch a soccer match. We went to watch Barça play Arsenal but the guy sat us in the Beyern section. Plainly put, Dunne’s food was awful. Their burger was plain and sloppily over-sized. The shepherd’s pie was dry and bland. I will say that the beer was cold and the place looked really cool but the food was outmatched easily every other place I went in Barcelona.

Came to the gothic quarter to watch the Madrid Espanyola game on a Sunday night. I was accompanied by three friends and was seated almost immediately. My friends ordered the club sandwich, croquettes, a Dunnes burger and a Shepard’s pie. The Shepard’s pie was the selling point of the place. Cooked with tender ground beef and a layer of mashed potatoes blanketed with generous portions of mashed potatoes and gravy. Definitely would try this again if I returned. The club sandwich was a bit dry. My friend didn’t recommend it. However, the waitress did give us a selection of sauces(ketchup, mustard, HP sauce, and mayo) which helped the cause. The Dunnes burger was alright. Nothing too special and was a tad too dry. Fortunately, the fries redeemed the meal. They were crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. My codfish croquettes(5,90) were pretty good. Very savory and definitely complimented my murphys red. It came with a delightful sweet and sour sauce that I didn’t expect. The beers are moderately priced and there are several options on tap. My friend got smithwicks and I got a pint of murphys red(4,90 each). Overall, a good place to hang out on a weekend night with pretty great ambiance and huge food portions.

Good beer and wine, reasonably priced. Polite and very attentive bar staff, which is like a breath of fresh air given the relaxed attitude to service in Barcelona. We didn’t eat here. Free wifi.

This place gets one star for its reasonably-priced Guinness and one star for its free Wifi. That pretty much sums it up. Although I arrived at an «off» time(6:30pm on a weekday), this might be the saddest Irish pub I’ve ever seen on any continent. The décor is such that it feels like a corporate chain – think Applebees or TGI Fridays – and the bartender had the warmth of a snowpea. The whole place had a very depressing vibe to it. I wasn’t expecting exceptional food, but my pub fries and chicken wings were well below average compared to similar places I’ve visited across Europe and the US. To top it off, the food prices were on the high side considering the quality. The bartender was such a monotone and lifeless zombie. I wanted to leave quickly. In sum, I’d only stop here for a cold pint later in the evening before seeking out more amusing options. It seems there are several Irish pubs in BCN; it may be worth your while to seek them out first before coming here!

We went here with the sole purpose of grabbing a good Guinness beer. The place is a unique Irish bar in the heart of most destinations. The owner talked golf and it was a relaxing setting.

The rugby was on and we were on the hunt for an Irish pub showing the match. The Unilocal app showed that Dunne’s was close-by(ish) so we headed there first. The pub was completely dead, none of the tvs was on(they were tiny as well). Two staff members were chatting at the bar, completely ignoring us while we were standing there waiting to get some attention. The male bartender finally acknowledged us so I asked whether it was possible to watch the Leinster match. He didnt know what channel it was on nor how to work the telly. He tried for 2mins then said we should try somewhere else. We did.

Dont go there for a burger! The bread was like a rock and the meat was really bad. I couldn’t finish it. No sauce inside. And it was expensive. We had a nice waitress but the staff in general is bad.

Ok this is the 3rd time we ate @ Dunne’s in a week(2nd review) and I was very disappointed. The bartender was rude and wouldn’t give me a soda refill which I got last time, and told me the owner allowed before but couldn’t again. WTF! I spend over $ 100 per visit and they are going to complain about a diet coke? I understand its a tourist trap with probably not many regulars yet my money is green and being a loyal customers I deserve better than being locked out @ midnight bc I’m on the back patio!(The bar closes @ 2am). Shouldn’t he have told me to come inside? Not impressed with this bartender. In my opinion, the owner should hire a more friendly staff because that’s crucial in this line of business.

Nothing too exciting. I wanted a Guinness as close to Ireland as possible as the stuff we get in the states is not the same. I got my beer and that was about it. It was an off time. A few others were in the bar. The staff were indifferent to my being there.
