My lower rating on this restaurant is based almost solely on the following reason: as we were getting ready to pay our bill, the waiter advised that the ‘service’ was not included and wanted to know how much to add to our bill. We assume that our weak Spanish and casual garb served as a red flag to him that we were tourists and therefore were fair game to prey on for tips. Of course, most any seasoned traveler knows that tipping is not expected in Western Europe, so we took offense to this ploy to get additional money from us. Other than that, though a bit overpriced, the food itself was decent and we were pleased with our outdoor table overlooking the marina. We chose the paella Valenciana and enjoyed it — the rice was perfectly cooked and the flavours robust, the only unpleasant thing was that some pieces of the meats were terribly gristly and therefore required dissection. The thing we liked best was the croquetas appetizer which had delicious bits of jamon Iberico. Had it not been for the waiter’s outrageous ploy to press us for a tip, I would have given this place a four star review for the food and views.

This place definitely have a good view of the port. We were recommended by our tour guide to come here since we wanted paella and she said do not go on La Rambla to eat. It’s a tourist trap and it’s expensive. Well I fooled because this place was more expensive! Ordered both seafood and meat paella. My recommendation, don’t get the meat one. It’s not good… even the waiter said so but I was allergic to shrimp so I had to get that and there was a minimum of two orders you have to get. I found that distasteful since it forced me to order just pawl and not the other food to try. Paella came out a bit hard. Seafood one had more flavor and the seafood was good but there was no WOW factor so I felt it wasn’t worth the price. I haven’t tasted other paella so I really can’t compare it to anything but it just didn’t give me anything to compliment about.

This is a tourist trap. Over priced and the portions are small. A coke was 5.60 euros!!! That is like $ 8. The food is OK but definitely not worth the money. Go somewhere else.

Please look at the picture I posted of the paella. Gosh it’s so pretty. I want it now. And it tasted great too. PAELLA!!! Ok, now that I’m over that, I’ll get to the review. The place had a really nice location, right on the water and it was great for people watching. Boyfriend had a beer, and I had a sangria. They came in big cups but I still don’t think they were worth the price, maybe 8 euros each. I’m not in Switzerland anymore! GOSH! Anyway, the wait staff was a bit slow, but that’s alright. We ordered a paella for 1 person because we saw a two portion one and it was HUGE. For one person it was about 40 euros. That’s a bit steep, but at least it was enough for the two of us. If this had been the only place I visited for eating they’d get 4 stars because I wouldn’t have know any better. But I had paella elsewhere as well, and it tasted just as good, for about half the price, and the portion was about the same. So, 3 stars because of the price, but everything else was quite good.

This place is only good for a drink and the view. The food is bad and not cheap — very dissapointing
