Just off Rambles but as authentic as it comes. This little restaurant is steps from the tourists but seems like I stepped into a village outside Barcelona. Try the manchego cheese to start and the sausage for dinner and the truffle chocolates for dessert. We loved this place and came back another time. Yum!

Stopped by here after watching FC Barcelona game, great food and drinks. Service was little slow because it was very busy but staff did everything they could. You should try this place rather than typical tourist spots on Main Street.

Bes bang for the buck. Stumbled upon this place while looking for a quick jamon bite but ended up ordering the full stack of items and probably only spend € 20 for everything feeding two people. Had a good amount of leftovers as well including wine

Came across this place with my girlfriend while walking to the restaurant we had a reservation at for our anniversary. The ambiance was really nice, the food great for a surprisingly low price, and we really loved the waitress’ enthusiasm in explaining about traditional Catalan meals. Definitely recommend to go here if in Barcelona.

We were only in Barcelona for five days, and we certainly ate lots of good food, but this was easily the best meal. We began as a group of three, but were joined late by two friends and the lovely waitstaff accommodated us with good humor. Started with a bunch of dishes, including the typical Catalan roasted bread with tomato, Carpaccio de bacalao, Escalivada con queso de cabra (various roasted veg, served cold and dressed with a fat slice or two of goat cheese, gently sugared and caramelized – sounds terrible, but was delicious!), and Rúcula y queso parmesano. Followed by mains: Butifarra con judías (sausage with perfectly buttery and subtly seasoned white beans), Costillas de cordero a la brasa (perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned slim loin lamb chops), and Pollo a la brasa. Accompanied by a sangria de cava, too sweet for some of us, but exactly right to others in the group. Desserts and coffee were only good, apart from the house-​made chocolate mousse – outstanding, not too sweet. Atmosphere was equally enjoyable – excellent warm service, rustic without being fake. Very conveniently located, right off La Rambla close to Placa Catalunya, without feeling touristy at all. When I go back to Barcelona, I will certainly return for another meal. Hacia muchos años que no venia a este restaurante pero el recuerdo que tenía de él era muy positivo. Veníamos de pasar una gran tarde y el colofón fue una sesión de teatro, así que poner la guinda con una buena cena de cocina catalana parecía una idea estupenda, como así fue.
No había mucha hambre así que la cena fue cortita pero buena, por lo menos la calidad del producto ya que un plato de quesos y un par de torradas no es que entrañen especial complicación así que no puedo hablar de elaboraciones.
Como he comentado pedimos un surtido de quesos que vino acompañado de unos biscotes. Y posteriormente unas tostadas, la mía de escalivada y anchoas y la de mi pareja de escalivada y atún. Un pero, el tamaño, aunque en la foto parecen muy grandes, el tamaño estaba regularcillo aunque no eran pequeñas, ojo! Ambas tenían el pan tostado, por supuesto, sino no serían torradas, jeje! Y estaban untadas con tomate. Los precios, pues 9,50 € la de anchoas y 8,50 € la de atún. En cuanto a los quesos eran roquefort, emmental, brie, tetilla gallega, manchego semi y seco y el precio 8.90 €.
Volviendo al local, está decorado con objetos antiguos de labranza, cocina… Esta chulo.
Los camareros muy atentos y amables en todo momento.

este restaurante catalan es muy caracteristico. el lugar es muy especial. la comida es muy buena lo que usted elige. el personal es muy agradable y amable. hay que reservar porque en los fines de semana está siempre lleno.

Tonight was my second time here. It is a wonderful little place located near Las Rambla. The service and the food was excellent. Tonight I had a salad with anchovies and than sausage with white beans. Although that was enough I saw too many yummy deserts heading out to other tables so I had to try the chocolate mouse. It was a great meal.

M’agrada moltíssim el lloc! Un restaurant català de bon de veres al cor de Barcelona. Böníssim. Hi he menjat vàries coses, en especial recomàn la botifarra amb seques i la xatonada.

Me gusta muchísimo el lugar! Un restaurante catalán de verdad al corazón de Barcelona. Buenísimo. Ahí he comido varias cosas, en especial recomiendo la botifarra con alubias y la ‘xatonada’ (ensalada típica del Garraf)

I like this place very much! A truly Catalan restaurant in the heart of Barcelona. Very good. I’ve eaten here a few times, and I’d especially recommend the ‘botifarra amb seques’ (sausage with white beans) and the ‘xatonada’ (a salad from the Garraf region).

Muy cerca de Las Ramblas en este restaurante podemos comer muy bien y, al mediodía, con un menú a precio muy económico. El trato es muy agradable; suele estar lleno y el material es bueno
