Based on reviews of others we took the short walk from our hotel to Mino’s for dinner — looking for someplace quaint, authentic and with great food. Mino’s scored high on all counts. Artichoke appetizer was outstanding. I was interested in ‘fish of the day’ and after asking what kind it was, the chef sent out a platter with two different types of fresh fish to choose from. One ended up getting cooked and back on my dinner plate. Very delicious. Also, their Sangria was excellent — smooth and not too fruity.

We got the seafood mixta paella for 18 Euros and it was small for two hungry people. It was good but it was too salty. It came with 2 medium shrimps, 2 baby shrimps, about 4 clams. Also we tried the potatoes with mayo and ketchup but it was dry! The glass of sangria was actually really good though. I’m surprised our bill became 41 euros and they added in their own tip too. Out of all the places we tried this one was the most disappointing and expensive bill. Sorry, I wouldn’t eat here ever again.

Sehr schönes kleines Restaurant. Die Tapas sind sehr lecker. Die Portionen sind sehr groß! Unweit der Ramblas und trotzdem ruhig. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm und schön. Cool eingerichtet. Das Personal ist schnell, unaufdringlich und sehr freundlich. Alle könnten englisch.

This place is so amazing! I think it might be the best of my trip to Barcelona. The food was perfect and the wine to match! Service was outstanding. Such a difference from the touristy places on La Rambla. Wish I doing it earlier!!!

Paella was excellent, a little salty but very tasty and generous amount of fresh seafood. The grill fish of the day was good all topped off with excellent service from a wait staff that were very busy but nevertheless gave excellent service. I would recommend this little gem just off Las Ramblas

What a nice little find in Barcelona right off La Rambla. Really cozy and romantic… Don’t eat on the main street, there are plenty of little gems like this one on the side streets! They bring olives to start… seems to be a custom at many Spanish restaurants and I really dig this. While bread is nice, some olives are nicer. Patatas bravas — nice chunks of fried potato with two sauces drizzled on them. Pan con tomate — bread and tomato! Took a bite from my wife’s side dish and it was great. Artichoke — it was amazing! I would order this again — and certainly recommend you try it. The red sauce that comes with it adds a nice flavor boost to the already flavorful artichoke chunks. Sprinkled with sautéed arugula! Paella mixta — with pork ribs. On my last night in Barcelona I had to get my Paella. And these folks delivered! It’s a super large plate with all the traditional seafood… and comes with 4 pork ribs. Awesome flavors. We went with a bottle of red wine(only € 15)…that was excellent. Wish I had jotted down the name. The restaurant itself is covered with stone walls, hip lighting fixtures and random objects on the wall like bicycles(yet it doesn’t feel weird, it all works so well.) Dull colors, low lighting, exposed wood on the roof… it’s got the perfect atmosphere for a nice dinner/glass or two of wine while in Barcelona.

Read some fairly positive Unilocal reviews and swung by for dinner — got seated immediately at 6:30PM but the place filled up when we left at 8. The food is great, we ordered 3 tapas and a mixed paella to share. The house cava at only 10EUR for a bottle was great. The servers were helpful though their English was slightly limited. Overall great meal in a nice, cozy setting near Boqueria that really hit the spot after a day of exploring.

Picked it, using Unilocal. Was close to hotel and seemed interesting. All expectations were met. Good tapas, reasonable prices. Get there before 8PM or you will have to wait.

Our 1st Spanish meal in Barcelona happened here. We found it on Unilocal of course. Not many reviews but we liked what we saw and it was less than a block off la Rambla. We were early, for Barcelona! So we were the only ones there except for 1 couple. Wait staff was low and slow but the food was worth it. We have tried to be more patient, as we are so used to having quick service in the U.S. Everything was delicious, from the sangria and mojitoes to the mussels we ordered at the end! They were the largest mussels we’ve ever seen and the sauce was simple but tasty. See pics for other dishes we had. Very small restaurant but we loved it all.

Just arrived in Barcelona and wanted some seafood near our hotel. We found this place through Unilocal. We were one of the first to be seated around 7 pm. There was 4 of us. We are quickly learning that people eat really late around here, as it did eventually get crowded. And we could see why! Delicious! Started out with a liter of sangria for 2 people and 2 mojitos for the others. We are learning not to be impatient Americans. Slow down, take your time and don’t expect immediate service and all will be great. Both drinks were great. The sangria was nothing like we have had in the states, nice flavor and fruit. The mojitos had a great flavor and had lots of min and limes. For appetizers we had artichokes and a dish with mackerels and grilled veggies on bread. Wonderful. Our main course was paella with sea food and pork ribs. We got a big skillet to share. It was delicious! Then we finished off with mussels. This is a small cozy hole in the wall place. The waitstaff was friendly. Really enjoyed our experience.

This place has a great atmosphere. It’s a fun spot. I was excited when I came in. I had the house white and some paella. While it looked good, I was very disappointed. The paella wasn’t quite done, it was still too wet and the rice too crunchy. Furthermore, it did not have a good flavor. I wasn’t happy with my meal. But I actually really enjoyed the wine. I also paid more for the paella than usual to get what I got.

Best paella I’ve ever had! Wow! Small restaurant, one chef, and packed the whole time. This little gem was a hit! I will definitely be back.

After viewing the large leg of ham as I walked in, I knew what I wanted to eat… Jamón Ibérico, thin slices of prosciutto served with bread with tomato paste. Although I was quite full, my sweet tooth overruled me and ordered the coulant which is served with gelato. As my Spanish was terrible, my experience at the restaurant was very pleasant by the waitress’ fluency of English.
