La Tertulia

Das Lokal liegt in einer Fußgängerzone im Stadtteil Poblenou zwischen typischen Touristen-​, aber auch sehr feinen Lokalen. Es gibt in der Rambla auch Geschäfte und man kann gemütlich draußen sitzen und die Menschen vorüberflanieren sehen. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Die Tapas hier kann ich nur empfehlen. Sie waren schnell da und wirklich lecker. Es gibt eine große Auswahl. Wir hatten 5 Tapas, 2 x Brot mit Tomaten als Beilage, 1 Glas Wein, 1 kleines Bier sowie 2 kleine Mineral für knapp 38 €. Dieses Durchkosten und –probieren ist ein tolles kulinarisches Erlebnis. Ich bin eindeutig ein Tapas-​Fan!

I ordered the seafood paella and caprese salad which were both delicious. The mozzarella in the caprese was fresh and the right ratio of tomato to cheese. The seafood paella was probably the best I’ve had in the city. Would definitely recommend!

Si no mal recuerdo fue el primer restaurante al que fui cuando llegue al Poblenou y repito cada que tengo la oportunidad, en general los meseros son muy amables, eso sí suele estar lleno a la hora del almuerzo yo recomiendo que si quieres encontrar todo lo que hay en primeros y segundos llegar por muy tarde a las 3. Las tapas me encantan todas son muy bastas y ricas, recomiendo el cambert frito, las lágrimas de pollo y mi favorito el mil hojas de berenjena.

The croquettes are amazing here. We ordered croquettes, pan con tomat, abondigas, and spicy sausages with beer and sangria. The service was speedy and the waiter gave efficient service as well. The place was pretty packed so it must be a popular spot for locals and tourists alike

We ate seafood paella and it was burnt (not that cool burnt in the bottom of the pot burnt, the shrimp was black burnt) giving it a smoked flavor, rice was undone. Also had some tapas: camembert (it tasted and had the filo texture more like goat cheese) and the fried squid which were ok. I chose the place based on previous (very good Unilocal reviews) just because we had just gotten back from a long trip and starving on a Sunday afternoon, when not all businesses were opened. Service… not that great either. Certainly will not repeat.

Als wir auf der Suche nach einem anderen Restaurant waren sind wie hierauf gestoßen und geblieben. ;)
Paella war ganz ok. Für meinen Geschmack zu viel Tomatensauce drin. Fisch war frisch und lecker! War auch etwas zu schnell auf dem Tisch, konnte deshalb wohl nicht anständig ziehen. Eine gute Paella braucht schon min. 45 Min und nicht nur 30. ;) Aber OK!
Nette Bedienung, Bier kalt und günstig!

Food was ok. Then slowest service in the world and missed out about 50% of the things we ordered. Bill was all wrong… twice

Here is the breakdown: nice location and atmosphere. quick service. However, they permit smoking, and you may struggle to enjoy your meal with tobacco smoke traveling up your nostrils. A couple at an up-​wind table immediately on my right are lighting up their second cigarette in the last 7 minutes, and I want to vomit. Let me quickly finish the review and head out of here.
The food: goat cheese salad is a keeper. Fresh greens. Cheese is nice. They don’t add dressing, and I like it that way. Stuffed mushrooms: unremarkable; I ate mine, but they are nothing to write home about. Fried squid was left piled on my plate. It is not salted at all, and I am the first person to complain about too much salt in dishes most people find perfectly normal. Bottom line (khe-​khe from the smoke): I would definitely come for the salad, but nothing else.

Loud, vibrant, inviting establishment with great late-​night snacks. Most, if not all, of the tapas I had were satisfactory to great, and all at a pretty decent price. The highlights for me were all things calamari and, more importantly, the breaded camembert with raspberry sauce — oof!!! That and some Estrella? A guaranteed good time.
On the downside, the place does get quite packed, and the staff, bless their hearts, can barely keep up. So order a bunch of tapas and drinks to last you for a while.

This place is terrible. You only know how «authentic» it is when you come in and 100% of the tables are full of Americans. Plus the American behind me just said «that show 2 Broke Girls is hilarious” – so it’s Americans with awful taste. It took me over 20 minutes to get the check.

On our first day in Barcelona, we crashed in our place in Poblenou and hit the Rambla de Poblenou for some grub. We found this place on Unilocal and it did not disappoint. We had the fried fish, mussels, grilled prawns, chorizo and spicy potatoes w/​mayo (yum!). It was all definitely worth it… and the price was great as well!

Very Nice arhmosphere and good service. A lot of locals meeting up, chatting and creating a very nice athmosphere. The food was excellent. The staff was extremely service minded. A small restaurant I would like to revisit on my next visit ti Barcelona

Muy buen sitio para ir a cenar de tapas. Al principio llama un poco la atención el estilo del local. Se nota que han mantenido la decoración de «bar de toda la vida», es decir, una barra muy amplia con sus mesas para tomarse los «cafelitos» e incluso la típica máquina esa que dice «avanceeee uno dos avanceeee».
Lo bueno del sitio es cuando te sientas a tomar algo y te pones analizar la carta. Hay una gran cantidad de tapas que se salen de los típicos boquerones y aceitunas. Nosotros pedimos unas patatas bravas (son mi debilidad y algún día sacaré un libro sobre las diferentes formas de hacerlas. ¿No se supone que son bravas por la salsa picante? ¿Qué es eso de ponerles mayonesa o pimentón???en fin…), berenjena rebozada con queso de cabra (muy rico), croquetas caseras (tenían mucho sabor, se agradece que no sean solo bechamel) y queso rebozado con mermelada (mmmmmm).
Una cosa sí que hay que decir, el aceite es uno de los ingredientes principales de los platos. Se nota que todos los alimentos, por lo menos los que nosotros pedimos estaban sospechosamente brillantes. Pero bueno, un día es un día, luego te tomas un par de Danacoles de esos y ale, todo arreglado, los Lcasei como nuevos,… ¿o eso era para otra cosa???
Tengo ganas de volver a Barcelona cuando haga buen tiempo para poder disfrutar de su terraza, seguro que para la hora del aperitivo es un sitio muy visitable.

Without a doubt, the worst service in all of Barcelona. Absolutely horrible, rude, angry, mean-​spirited staff with no respect for their customers.
Never again, avoid this place at all costs. In 7 years, I have never had such service. Awful!!!

The food was bad, cold and clearly old… it had been sitting out for a while. The meatballs tasted like they were rotten. By far the worst part of the restaurant is the staff. The waiters are very rude and treat customers with contempt. Save your time and money — this is the worst tapas bar I have ever been to after 15 years in Barcelona. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

As with all other places we happened upon in Barcelona, Unilocal helped us out.
We walked here from our hotel (not too long, but not really a short walk) and it’s located in an area with a bunch of tapas places, dessert/​bakeries as well as a casino!
No frills and also minimal understanding of English, but thankfully I had a translator app to help out. We ended up ordering the potatoes with the mayo and spicy sauce (SOOO GOOOD) and we ordered the number 1: chicken with croquettes and russian salad — i think it might’ve been tuna) and number 2: steak, fried egg, salad and french fries.
Very filling, not too expensive. Nice little area to walk around after dinner.

The food is great and very affordable. If you are in poblenou and want a nice place with tapas and beers, you definitely have to check this out. The size of the portions is very big, which I found amazing.
Be aware though that it is always crowded and you probably will have to wait. A lot. For tables, for waiters, for food, for beers. You will wait. That being said if you’re in no hurry and you want to have a nice evening with friends I would totally recommend this place.

Well prepared food at very good price! We ate 4 tapas and had a drink paying around 21 €. Excellent value for money. Will return.

You have to get the black rice. Have to. Everything else was okay but the black rice? !!! They have a ‘menu del día’ that has limited options but is much cheaper. € 10 for lunch including appetizer (where aforementioned black rice comes in), entrée, wine and dessert.

Best tapas in all of Barcelona! Great service, sit outside for an amazing experience. The wine and sangria where great, also the paella was awesome! I can not rave enough about this place.

Decided to give a try… seems this place got good reviews. Not our experience !!! Food was mediocre. The arugula already turned yellow and they still served to us! The waiter came back and told us they didn’t have 3 of the tapas we ordered. Meat of kebob was tough and dry…

Trato muy agradable a pesar de estar muy lleno. Todas las tapas buenisimas. Bravas buenas y baratas. Ración de chipirones y pulpo espectacular. Volveremos!

Super endroit, moins touristique que les ramblas du centre ville, on est dans l’ambiance typique espagnole le soir. De plus c’est bon, pas cher et le service est agréable. J’ai passé un bon moment après une longue et chaude journée !
Un Granitas de El Tio Che juste au dessus pour finir et on se promèné sur la plage !

An excellent place for lunch on Barcelona’s best pedestrian street, the Rambla de Poblenou. Their three course lunches are great — my wife asked for a house red wine and the bottle came out to the table, as part of the meal.
Portions were appropriate, and spectacular. Eat inside and hear the locals, or go outside and watch people ambling by. Definitely worth checking out.

Si estás por PobleNou y te apetecen unas tapas o raciones, es un sitio muy recomendable.
La carta es bastante amplia, todo lo q yo probé estaba riquísimo y tiene una relación calidad-​precio genial.
La terraza tiene bastantes mesas, pero si vas conun grupo grande intenta llegar temprano. Es lo que tienen los sitios con buena fama… suelen llenarse ;-)

After spending a week staying down at La Ramblas, I was convinced there was no edible food in Barcelona. Thankfully, we had to switch hotels and ended up away from the touristy part of town. Thanks to Unilocal,we found La Tertulia and it was phenomenal!
Mostly locals (and for some reason, policemen) were frequenting this place. We know nothing about tapas, so we asked our waiter (who spoke a tiny bit of English) for an assortment. Everything was delicious, including the sangria.
Highly recommend La Tertulia if you’re looking for good tapas, and yes, it’s well worth the trip outside La Ramblas.

Solo hay que dar un paseo por esta zona de la Rambla de Poblenou para ver que algo tiene La Tertulia. Cuando las terrazas cercanas están prácticamente vacías, en la suya es siempre difícil encontrar mesa, por algo será.
Las tapas son de las mejores del barrio, variedad y buena calidad.
Tienen un menú de mediodía con un buen montón de platos a elegir. Las raciones son abundantes y la comida buena. Está siempre lleno de gente del barrio, los que trabajan por aquí y también gente que viene a propósito, buena señal.
Los fines de semana también hay menú, aunque cambia el precio. Lo he probado un domingo y, aunque ronda los 20 € por persona, los platos están a la altura. Por ejemplo, hay arroz con langosta o entrecot.
El servicio es muy atento, la dueña es encantadora y los camareros conocen y tratan con confianza a los muchos clientes habituales. Sí es verdad que la cantidad de gente que tienen a veces les desborda y la cosa va más lenta de lo deseado.
Por cierto, antes cerraba los martes, pero ahora ya abren todos los días.

I really wish I had wi-​fi to check in to this place while I was there this past week. The food here is AMAZING! you won’t go wrong with anything on their menu. i highly recommend the deep fried camenbert cheese served with the raspberry sauce, house crouquettes, the meat «bomb», both mushroom dishes, and the jamon iberico tapas. the best part is, its in the middle of a neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists so you’ll see lots of locals sitting around and enjoying their family time. i happened to be there during a FCB match and it was AWESOME! the restaurant was filled with groups of families cheering and watching the game.
this place was so good i went there twice during my trip and it was a 3 day trip.

Sehr feine Tapas. Freundliche Bedienung. Auf den Pilzen und Pimentos de Padrón etwas zuviel Salz. Empfehle ich auf jeden Fall weiter.

Si estás por Poble Nou, no olvides pasar a tomar unas tapas por este bar. Relación calidad-​precio más que correcta, y tiene una terracita estupenda para cuando hacer calorcito. Yo normalmente iba por las noches y se estaba genial. Lo que sí que es verdad es que se llena demasiado a horas puntas y es algo difícil coger sitio…

Concurrido y exitoso bar de tapas de la Rambla de Poblenou, quizás el mejor de esta vía para ponernos ciegos picoteando un poco de esto, otro tanto de lo otro, y un mucho de aquello de más allá. La carta es variada, extensa y con unos precios bastante ajustados, supongo que por tratarse de una zona no muy propicia para el turisteo extranjero despistado.
En los últimos tiempos parece que le han pillado el punto a los calamares a la plancha. O eso o que yo estoy pasando por una etapa de especial aprecio por esta receta, que también podría ser.

Para mi, el mejor sitio de tapas de la Rambla de Poblenou.
Los domingos por la mañana, cuando se acerca la hora del vermut, no me da ninguna pereza patearme toda la rambla para ver si encuentro sitio en su terraza. Empezando por la moderna pero sobria tipografía de su cartel, hasta su privilegiada ubicación cerca del amplio y poco transitado cruce de la Rambla con Doctor Trueta, todo en La Tertúlia me parece acogedor. Encima, puede que sea efecto de la brisa y cercanía del mar, pero sus tapas me parecen las mejores de la zona.
Lo malo: no soy el único que se ha dado cuenta de todo esto, de manera que el sitio se llena de gente a la hora punta. Por suerte, hay alguna alternativa magistral por ahí cerca… Pero ésa, de momento, me la guardo para mí. Vas a tener que seguir buscando.
