La Vinoteca Torres

Torres ist eines der grossen spanischen Weingüter, das auch sehr leckere Brandies produziert. Mein Favorit ist hier der Torres 20 Hors d’Age, der 20 Jahre in französischen Fässern aus Limousin-​Eiche gelagert wurde und eine wunderbare Geschmacksfülle hat.
Man hat auch Rebenflächen in ausserspanischen Regionen, wie USA und Chile.
Dennoch findet man hier nicht nur Massenweine, sonder auch ganz individuelle, qualitativ hochwertige Gewächse.
In der Homebase Barcelona gibt es nun diese Vinothek, sehr schön gestylt, in der man die verschiedenen Kreszenzen zu erträglichen Preisen trinken kann.
Entweder an der langen Theke oder in kleinen Nischen lässt sich vor, während oder nach dem Shoppen auf dem Passeig de Gràcia ein Stop Over einlegen, bei dem es eher nicht bei einem Gläschen bleibt.

We stopped in to have some pre-​dinner drinks and were a little disappointed. For being on the strip and specializing in wine, my Rioja was not the best I have ever had to say the least. It was fairly priced however. My boyfriend got beer here and the beer was twice as expensive as the wine – an outrage in my opinion, especially when it is fairly crappy light beer! Would not suggest this, the only saving grace was the fire lamps in the outdoor seating area.

My friend and I decided to stop here for a drink which turned into a few haha. We didn’t spend much time inside because we chose to sit in their outdoor area on the street. The thing I loved most about this place was the excellent service. Our server was so nice and attentive and the wine she recommended was so good.
Tip: beware of relentless beggars if you choose to sit in their outdoor section! (Keep your stuff off the table).

We stumbled into this place on NYE and didn’t have a reservation. They were very kind to accommodate us. The people were nice and a kind waiter told us where to go for a good bar after which was very helpful.
I only give this place 3 stars because we ordered a couple things off the menu… Including the risotto. Stay away from the risotto. It was the most bland dish I have every had. It wasn’t creamy, no salt, no flavor. And for 16 euro… We were very sad.
But the potatoes bravas was pretty excellent.
It’s a pretty place, with good people, but such disappointing risotto …

At first it looks like amazing place after a long walk on this road. Waiter was friendly but that’s where it ended. They might have all the wine but food was over salted. Expensive for what it is and got even charged for bread. Then I had to beg the waiter to take my money and give me the change back.

En pleno Paseo de Gracia, rodeada por el bullicio de los turistas, aparece agradablemente La Vinoteca Torres.
Y es que poco tiene que ver con sus locales vecinos. Aquí, hay amantes del buen vino y buen vino.
Las Bodegas Torres junto con el grupo Sagardi nos ofrecen una extensa carta de vinos y una propuesta culinaria cuidada para su maridaje.
Para poder disfrutar de esta propuesta es importante no fijarse en el precio de ninguno de los productos, ya que si no la experiencia pierde todo el sentido. Lo que importa aquí es el olfato, el paladar y el amor por la gastronomía. El que avisa no es traidor.
La carta de vinos es extensa y los hay para todos los gustos. Hay vinos de la tierra, chilenos, californianos, etc. Los hay jóvenes como el Atrium Chardonnay (blanco) y otros muchos más complejos como el Conde de Superunda (tinto). Todos los vinos se sirven por botellas o en copas, así se pueden ir probando distintos.
Recomiendo dejarse aconsejar por el atento personal del local, os ayudarán a escoger el vino que más os guste y os explicarán detalladamente sus características.
El local tiene una terraza en Paseo de Gracia pero el interior es muy agradable ya que es un espacio silencioso, elegante y repleto de vinos que, des de mi punto de vista, mejoran la experiencia gastronómico-​enológica.
Además, todos los vinos que sirven se pueden comprar en la misma vinoteca.

Generalmente, intento evitar los lugares situados en zonas tan turísticas (vease Paseo de Gracia o Ramblas) Ya no solo por el precio inflado, sino porque suelen ir dirigido a encandilar a guiris a base de brillos artificiales (y no solo me refiero al amarillo radiactivo de las paellas de las ramblas) vendiendo supuestamente calidad, tradición…total que no cuela si eres de aquí vaya…
SIn embargo, salí de la Vinoteca Torres pensando que volvería con alguien que apreciara el buen vino. He comenzado a conocer estas bodegas a raíz de algún evento que ellos mismos han organizado para catar sus vinos. Es cierto que los precios se disparan si quieres probar alguno de sus vinos estrellas, pero para una ocasión especial creo que es un gran lugar.
Sin mirar el bolsillo, animo a probar en blanco el Dobles Lías y en tinto el Conde de Superunda, vinos avanzados para quien entienda un poco de vino. El primero californiano, Chardonnay, complejo con gusto láctico. A mi me encantó.
El segundo, chileno, Cabernet Sauvignon, muy complejo, con un toque tostado, ahumado. tremendo
Entre medio, el Waltraud en blancos o el merlot Jean Leon, si quieres probar vinos de la tierra.
Si simplemente, te llamó la atención el lugar y no tienes mucha más pretención con el vino que acompañar uno de las tapas, parece que de buena calidad de la vinoteca, puedes tomar el Atrium Merlot o el Viña Esmeralda.
Recomendable para alguna cita especial o para coger fuerzas si estás de compra por Paseo de Gracia. Tienen una terraza exterior, pero en mi opinión la gracia es degustar los vinos en el interior, rodeado de botellas y en un agradable ambiente.
El servicio muy bueno también. Muy atentos y muy proactivos para guiarte en la elección.
Puedes comprar botellas de todos los vinos que degustes.

El peor descubrimiento para mi, sobre todo para mi bolsillo!!! Sin duda los vinos son mi perdición y más cuando nos encontramos ante una de las bodegas tan prestigiosas como es «Torres». De generación en generación ha ido creciendo esta bodega hasta llegar actualmente a más de 140 países, una autentica locura!
Este sitio esta ubicado en una de las mejores calles y más conocidas de Barcelona, el mítico Passeig de Gràcia. Dispone de una amplia carta con platos de: Vermut, platos para empezar, platos del día, platos principales y una suculenta carta de postres. Los precios no son nada ecónomicos para que nos vamos a engañar pero recomiendo entrar, sentarte en la barra, pedir un buen vino y disfrutar de la ocasión.
Sin duda un vino que es económico y que sale muy bien es el Tinto Atrium Merlot o en el caso del blanco, el Viña Esmeralda.
Sus bravas a un precio de 5,50 € son geniales, tiene una patata de gran calidad y una salsa de romesco con un punto final de chorizo, me gustaron mucho pero considero que la tapa fue algo escasa para dos personas.
Además del servicio de carta también tienen tienda nada más entrar donde venden cualquiera de sus vinos.
Lo bueno es que si buscas algo en especial (hablando de vinos), ellos te aconsejaran de forma inmediata y bajo un criterio estudiado al máximo. Si lo que buscas es un vino dulzón ellos seguro tendran tu solición! Lo dicho, sientate en la barra, pide un buen vino y disfruta de la ocasión.

This is a great place to grab some regional wine; they also have wine from the rest of Spain and elsewhere. It is a combination wine shop and bar. They have a great selection and the prices were fairly reasonable, depending on what you want. The staff was extremely friendly to us and with our limited knowledge of good Spanish wines they pointed us to some great wines to try. They were very knowledgeable about their inventory.

The place looked very nice from the street, many tables outside were busy, I was hungry, so it was easy to make a choice to have a meal here. What a mistake. Should have read Unilocal reviews first! Wine was good, five starts — i tried the local white. The food (at least my unfortunate choice) was very bad and over priced. The mixed salad (i think it is called baby something with sprouts) at € 10.60. It is just a mixed salad, nice and fresh but very dry — i could not taste any dressing, quite small portion. The waiter brought olive oil to my table but when i said i dont want bread, he took it away. Apparently, oil was for bread, not for the salad. Anyway, my table didnt have any of the essentials — salt, pepper, oil, vinegar. I guess one need to ask as no one offers. I was served a little plate of olives which were very tasty but i didnt order them, so i thought these were complimentary. Apparently not. I later saw the charge on my bill, thus, automatically down to two starts. I dont like when the restaurant decides what to order and what to put on my bill without even asking me. I suspect they do the same with bread. My main course was the Sunday special — monkfish stew. Terrible. Tiny portion even though i ordered it as a full plate for € 24. Very salty and crayfish (or prawns?) was almost raw which i dont like either. It was my first meal in Barcelona and it was quite a disappointment. I think it can be a good place for a glass of wine and small appetizers. A table next to mine ordered mussels and little fried fish which look much better then my meal.

We came here randomly because we were hungry and it was the first place we saw. The waiter was friendly. My friend ordered the chips with lemon juice. I guess he thought they would be special chips, but they seemed like just chips out of a bag with juice on them. We had the salad with apples, which was fine. The special of the day was a monkfish stew so one of my friends and i got it. It was actually a soup with a couple of pieces of fish, and some mussels and shrimp. We asked if the things in the soup had any shells or skin and the waiter said no, but that was just probably a language barrier and not his fault, since they did. The soup was awful, and the half portion was even tinier than a usual spain portion. My friend got sick from it. My other friend had a cheese pasta dish and liked his well enough, but for the amount and quality of our food, we paid 100 euro which was way overpriced for what we got. It was so gross I went home and had a sandwich. This is probably better just as a place to have wine, and not to eat.

My iPhone was stolen off of my table from a street beggar here. He walked up to our outside table and showed us a paper with writing on it– covering my phone… when he left, my iPhone went with him. Didn’t realize until 2 minutes after he was gone.
Lesson learned, don’t keep your camera/​phone/​valuables on the table in front of you on the street in Barcelona (or Europe for that matter).
Aside from that, good service– try the Eggs and sausage in a bowl… I forget the name of the dish. Also, an impressive selection of wine.
Staff apologized for the beggar but there was nothing they could do as their tables are directly on the sidewalk like all of the other cafes in Barcelona.

This place was great because every wine is available by the glass — it’s a bit more expensive that way, but you can try several different wines.
Food was quite good — most memorable was a daily special of beans with Catalan sausage — perfectly prepared and really delicious. The salad was great too — not overly dressed with crispy tart apples and nuts.
Service was polite and welcoming. Our waiter spoke great English and recommended wines to go with the dishes we ordered.

Quien haya visto «Entre copas» sabe que lo mejor del vino no se acaba al consumirlo. Hablo del olor, de lo tonto que te deja, de los labios resecos, de las risas a la tarde, de acabarte un novelón mientras lo degustas, del sueñecito de después, de la felicidad con los amigos. De todo eso.
Vinoteca Torres es uno de los grandes museos del vino. Lo que más me gusta de ella es que los camareros saben de lo que hablan. Les preguntas y te explican el abecé sobre cualquier vino. Es más, te describen sus valores emocionales y te hacen comprender que lo que estás bebiendo es mucho más que un trago de alcohol, es un estado de ánimo. Quizás es que también se vieron «Entre copas».

Torres es una de las bodegas españolas más importantes e internacionales: no sólo elaboran vinos en nuestro país, también en Chile y en California. Cuando uno viaja y busca un vino español, resulta muy sencillo encontrar un Torres pero no es sencillo haberlos probado todos y su Vinoteca en Passeig de Gràcia ofrece esa posibilidad. El local, decorado en madera y taburetes altos, recuerda a una cava y ofrece una amplia carta de vinos que maridar con propuestas gastronómicas del chef Manel Jiménez muy interesantes. Se trata de un espacio muy céntrico en el que a menudo se mezclan turistas con reuniones de negocios. Torres es sin duda una de las empresas que más sabe de vino, así que si eres aficionado, no debe faltarte esta visita.

A quien no le guste el vino es un animal, eso dice la canción típica de tasca. Bien, pues yo soy una amante del vino, eso me convierte en súper-​humana… Tonterías aparte, en esta vinoteca puedes ir a degustar vinos por copas mientras picas algo, dulce o salado, puedes comprar la botella y también puedes comer o cenar.
El entorno es austero y agradable, mesas alargadas dispuestas en línea, taburetes, colores de maderas… Todo pensado para disfrutar del vino.
La cocina abre de 12.00 a 16.00 y de 19.30 a 01.00, pero si vasa partir de las 16.00 y pides algo para picar o un postre te lo sirven sin problema.

perfecto para tomar el aperitivo en su terraza en pleno paseo de gracia, degustar su magnifica carta de vinos y disfrutar de buenos entrantes. muy buena calidad de los productos y muy buena atencion al cliente.

La bar est bien placé, bien décoré et a une agréable terrasse sur le paséo de Gracia.
L’Espagne a des vins excellents, mais méfiez vous de Barcelone comme étape œnologique. Il existe certainement des bons vins Catalans, mais leur chauvinisme les rends assez aveugles et ils mont souvent fièrement fait boire de la piquette.

Absolut super gestylte Wein-​Bar! Sehr schmal und hoch, es ist jedoch erstaunlich, was sich auf dieser Fläche alles unterbringen läßt. Man kann alle Sorten Torres-​Wein probieren, dazu gibt’s auf Wunsch Bort und Käse. Letzterer wird auf Schieferplatten gereicht — hat mich sehr beeindruckt.
Man kann dort gut ein Mittagessen zu sich nehmen und in der Mittagspause mit Kollegen oder Geschäftspartner speisen. Wirklich sher schönes Ambiete, alles sehr dunkel gehalten, mit Rottönen und dann die von hinten angeleuchteten Weinflaschen und Gläser.
