My girlfriend and I ate dinner here on a Wednesday night in late December. We were on a 2 week long vacation from the United States, and I can honestly say this was the best food and overall dining experience of our entire trip. We ordered the special calcotada set menu, because we really wanted to try grilled calcots (grilled green onions), and torrada amb tomaquet (toasted bread rubbed with garlic and tomato) — both local specialty dishes. This was the highlight of our meal and well worth every euro. The waiters do not speak English, but they were both as friendly as can be, and we could communicate well enough in my broken Spanish. I highly recommend this place to any tourist wanting to try authentic Catalan foods. We had no problem getting a table on a weeknight.

This place is really nice tapas bar. Everything we ate is tasty and price was reasonable. They have good drink menu — wine, shangria, cava, beer and etc.
They have English menu although the staff doesn’t speak English well. But, they are really kind.

Un local amplio y perfecto para ir a comer en grupo, tanto si son pequeños como un poco más grandes.
Tienen menús diarios por 10 euros que están muy bien. En época de calçots puedes optar por el menú calçotada, de 22 euros (que también está muy bien), con el que te entra el vino, la teja de calçots, recipiente individual con tu propia salsa (eso mola), bandeja de carne con costillas, lomo, butifarra… y patatas fritas, postre (suele ser crema catalana), y una copita de cava final. Osea, muy requetebién. Además el servicio es muy majo; Juan, el camarero que nos sirvió estuvo pendiente en todo momento de que no nos faltara de nada.
Dispone de una pequeña terraza perfecta para tomar un aperitivo antes de pasar a la mesa :)

I came here because it was two blocks from my flat, I needed a quite restuarant rather than a tapas bar and because I knew that since this is Barcelona, the food would still be good at almost any place and it was.
It’s more upscale in appearance than I assumed with modern design and décor. There are selections of montaditos, tapas, fried seafood and cured meats. Price are more than at a bar but still quite good. The food of course was good and good quality.
It’s accessible and the lighting is good.

Local reformado con muy buen gusto. Especialidad en tapas y montaditos, embutidos y buenos vinos. Menu diario de lunes a domingo. Buen servicio. Para desayunar, comer o cenar abra a diario de 8 a 24.
