Great continental breakfast included with fresh eggs ham and sausage. Cappuccino machine. Cereal. They have adapters for US customers to use. Bedroom and bathroom are very clean and updated. We feel we got a great value and will definitely use them again next time.

El Raval is not as seedy a neighborhood others had made it out to be. I felt very comfortable taking the metro back to the hotel at 11pm(girl alone), just stayed aware as you should in any city. The front desk guys spoke English and were helpful, the room was clean though the bed a little hard for my taste(found this to be typical in Spain). The«city view» for my price was hilarious — I guess looking onto alleys and other backs of buildings is technically a view of a city. But the room was well lit with a big window that opened(AC available, too). Breakfast was made to order and picked from a menu you hang on your door — excellent coffee, pastries, the best yogurt I’ve ever had and fresh fruit. Note: I did not realize this but in Spain you generally have to stick your hotel room card in a slot by the door for any electricity to work. Took me a minute to figure that one out. I definitely recommend this hotel based on its attributes, especially combined with price and location. Enjoy!

My partner and I stayed here for just over a week last November(right around Thanksgiving), and had a really good experience! The lobby was clean and modern, the staff spoke English fluently(which is NOT typical in Barcelona!), The front doors are automatic glass sliders, which is wonderful when you’re carrying luggage! There are TWOELEVATORS that are both in good condition and worked perfectly the entire time we were there(this is, again, something that shouldn’t be taken for granted in Barcelona!). There are also stairs, which are wide and easy to maneuver up and down. The décor throughout is modern and also comfortable. The room we stayed in was very big by European standards, and included a comfortable queen bed, two upholstered chairs and a table, a long dresser, a mini-fridge, a closet, an in-room safe(great for leaving your computers while you’re out sight-seeing!), and bedside tables. The headboard had switches for the above lights, which was very convenient when going to bed. There was a HUGE window that allowed TONS of sunlight and air during the day, but also had blackout drapes and was very quiet once closed. Our view was the corner of Ronda San Pau and the alleyway next to it, so it was bright and sunny and airy feeling. The view included a big tree, the gorgeous architecture of the buildings across the way, and oodles of moonlight at night! I’m a light sleeper, and was not bothered by noise at all during my stay. In fact, I slept better than I usually sleep in hotels! The bathroom was very posh! Everything was marble and gorgeous and clean! The shower also had a tub and a glass door, which helped give the illusion of everything being light and bright, even though it was small. There was a sizeable counter where the sink was placed, so I could spread out my toiletries. There was a typical water-saver toilet and bidet. The hotel is WHEELCHAIRACCESSIBLE, as was the room… but I would say the bathroom would be a stretch for a lot of people in wheelchairs. But I will say that you will have no problem getting your wheelchair into the elevators(again, something you can’t take for granted in Barcelona!). The hotel proudly boasts a roofdeck with a hot tub. While the roofdeck was open while we were there and has pretty city views, the hot tub is seasonal, so if you go during the«winter», it won’t be in use… even though their winter is similar to that of San Francisco, which I would consider perfect weather for sitting in a hot tub on a roofdeck at night! There IS an indoor HOTTUB… but it’s not what most Americans would think of when they think«hot tub». It’s most like a big, shallow bathtub or kiddie pool that fills up like a bath… and like a bath, the water doesn’t get hot right away, and never is hot enough long enough to fill the whole thing to «hot tub» standards. That said, it’s still really relaxing! Be sure to reserve it well in advance if you want to use it, because otherwise you might find that it is always booked! The Acta Millenni is located just off Paral lel, which is sort of the«main drag» in Barcelona. It’s also just on the edge of the Gothic Quarter, and right next to tons of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bakeries, and two different Consum locations(the local grocery chain, in case you want to stock your mini-fridge with manchego and jamon serrano for breakfast!). There is TONS of public transportation readily available here, and you can also walk to many places from here. One thing to take note of: There is a park nextdoor that you do NOT want to hang out in. It’s full of bums, vagrants, homeless, pickpockets, druggies, etc. If you live in a city in the US, you are used to this sort of thing. But if you don’t, you might find this intimidating. Don’t. The Acta Millenni is generally in a good neighborhood, the bums will never get inside the hotel(there’s a 24-hr concierge ensuring secure access to the front door), and you will be just fine if you don’t hang out in the park or cut through it at night. And given that there are street cleaners every night who also wash down the sidewalks, you’ll never feel like the streets are seedy or unclean! The price to stay here was very reasonable by American city standards. Our week at the Acta Millenni cost us about $ 1000, including taxes. I would DEFINITELY stay here again next time I’m in Barcelona!

I spent only one night with my husband in Barcelona hotel. Hotel rooms were tastefully decorated and well equipped. The rooms were not big enough for our comfort. At the reception were very nice and was good at English. We stayed only one night. Our room, however we had to be replaced. My husband was unhappy with our air conditioning and minibar did not work. Maintenance man and hotel staff were very nice and efficient. All repaired and moved us to a better room. we were staying only one night in this Barcelona hotel. The hotel was comfortable and had good price.
