We stumbled upon this restaurant on our first evening in Barcelona and it was amazing! After a long day of traveling it hit the spot. The appetizers, entrees, drinks and dessert were all excellent. The quaint modern atmosphere was hip yet relaxing. The staff was attentive and accommodating. We loved everything about this place!

SO delicious! Great considerate service. Location is fabulous for people watching and enjoying the activity of an active plaza. Had a veal dish and my husband enjoyed a hamburger dish. There are so many cafes and restaurants to chose from but if you want to seriously relax and enjoy a delicious meal, I would highly recommend Morelia. Also had helados afterwards. Yumm!

Fantastic steak, great service, potatoes are the best ever ever, and really nice interiors, very cool. Also trendy and great neighborhood, El Born. Wines are very good, modest selection but good range of select labels. Highly recommend.

Had two lunches here and both occasions were wonderful. The service was efficient and friendly and the food was really delicious. We had pasta dishes, empanadas, and different salads on the two visits. Everything was simple but so flavorful. The ingredients are fresh and quality making for the most beautiful food. The icing on the cake and probably the most delicious dessert we ate on our 2 month stay in Barcelona, was the Morelia tiramisu. Get it! Not the traditional one, their special one with caramel. Wow! I hope to be back in Barcelona and will certainly come make a return visit to Morelia!

Fuimos a tomar un par de mojitos en la terraza. 15 €uracos. El local seguro que está muy bien y la comida también, pero por la ubicación y la clientela que tiene seguro que todo pica bastante en el bolsillo. Económicamente, hay sitios más asequibles.

Un lugar excelente! La empanada de cebolla caramelizada con queso de cabra es buenísimo! También la ensalada con jamón de pato y pera estuvo buenísima. Me pedí un chorizo con chimichurri también muy muy bueno! En general el lugar es recomendable para comer comida argentina en el born!

What a great place! The moment we walked in, we could sense a good vibe about the place. The staff was friendly, the food(and cocktails) were great, and the décor was a nice change of pace from the other places in Barcelona we visited. We had the Filet Mignon, Pork Tenderloin, and our 9 year old had the pork ribs. Everything was gone at the end. Our 9 year old even ate the empañadas! Unfortunately, we headed back home to the US, but wanted to give this place great reviews. They deserve it.

Platos típicos argentinos: provolone, empanadas, risotto, pasta, carnes… local muy bonito, intimo y buen servicio. Buenos postres y en general platos bien elaborados. De todos modos encuentro que es caro si vas a la carta.

Stopped for a quick noshing. Ordered a grilled provolone with Iberian ham assuming it was a sandwich, but it was simply cheese melted in a dish and topped with the ham. Not that it was bad, but it was not exactly a meal and it was very one-note(salty). The date ordered an empanada(with caramelized onions, goat cheese, and nuts) and grilled vegetables with romesco(asparagus, mushrooms, pearl onions, red pepper, tomato, zucchini, eggplant). All of it was plain but sound and good. We washed it down with more sangria.

Best recommendation ever! Our concierge told us about this place and we are so happy that he did. Their specialty is Argentinian steak, which was tender and delicious as were the empanadas. All the food we tried here was utterly delectable and our evening here was one of the best we had in Barcelona. We left feeling extremely happy and danced off on Food Cloud Nine. The service was also very friendly and warm too. This was a really satisfying and delicious meal and I would recommend this wholeheartedly.

Beautifully appointed, modern, trendy restaurant in the Born neighborhood. On our last evening we decided to celebrate with our friends, Argentine expats living in Barcelona, with some traditional Argentine fare. We started with appetizers, Provoleta, usually grilled, similar to Haloumi, but served here in a clay cassoulet, with chimichurri or sun-dried tomatoes, was a big hit at the table. The Empanada de Pollo, was tasty and savory, and warm goodness filling your stomach. Parrillada, again, not served on the traditional tabletop hibachi grill, but plated. Tasty, and grilled, as ordered. Tagliatele con Camarones, beautiful dish, generous pasta and prawn portions, stacked in a shallow bowl, almost too pretty to eat. Almost… Ravioli de Espinaca con Bolognese, this is the one dish that disappointed, Argentines are very particular with their pasta, and this just didn’t meet the expectations. Sorry guys, it just doesn’t do it for this crowd. Entrana, I don’t like my meat rare. In fact, anything more than a sliver of pink showing through my steak, is too much for me. And why do servers constantly argue with me for this? I don’t care if its’ the ‘proper’ way to enjoy meat or not. I like my meat well done. While the portion was generous, and the cooked part, delicious, it wasn’t cooked through and I left about a third of it behind. Restaurant staff, please listen to your patrons, it will be much better for everyone involved. Cuba Libre con Havana 3 Rum, and Pineapple juice with Havana 3 Rum. I wish we could purchase Havana 3 Rum in the US. This Cuban spirit was smooth. Very smooth. It would do well stateside, especially with the current craze for Rum drinks. The prices match the locale and the neighborhood, so be ready. Go for the meat dishes, stay away from the pasta. And have plenty of rum. Buen provecho!

This was a delightful dinner: a combination of Argentine steak house and Italian trattoria! The night began by being taken for a ride by our taxi driver, and then upon arrival learning that the restaurant was unaware of our reservation. But everything worked out fine in the end. We started with an amuse bouche of breadsticks and a good hummus dip. I followed this with an excellent lean Veal Carpaccio, and equally excellent Fried Provoleta Cheese with Serrano Ham. I also sampled good and crisp homemade potato chips and sumptuous and moist Millefleur Potatoes that were rich and cheesy. A Filet was very tasty and medium rare as ordered, but it could have used more Gorgonzola Sauce. Offered rolls were cold and hard, but we were too full so didn’t taste them. Service was very good. And the ambiance was sleek but cozy. We each politely declined a complimentary shot at meal’s end. If I lived in Barcelona, I would surely eat here again. And, if I return, I will remember this little place with a strong creative hand in the kitchen. 4−½ stars overall!

Das Morelia Restaurante bietet leckere argentinische Gerichte, in stylischer und gemütlicher Atmosphäre zu annehmbaren Preisen an. Wer in Barcelona auf der Suche nach einem guten Restaurant ist, welches keine überteuerten Preise hat, sollte hier unbedingt mal vorbei schauen! Vorspeisen gibt es hier ab 3,00 Euro, z.B. eine Pastete mit Schinken und Käse. Als Mittagsmenü sind die hausgemachten Pasta-Spezialitäten in verschiedenen Varianten sehr empfehlenswert. Natürlich gibt es auch fleischlose Pasta-Gerichte für Vegetarier, wie z.B. Ravioli mit Spinat und Ricotta Käse. Was wäre eine gute argentinische Küche ohne Fleisch? Dann würde es kein zartes Rinderfilet mit Pfeffer– oder Gorgonzola Crème-Sauce oder einem paniertem Kalbsschnitzel mit Tomaten-Mozzarella Sauce und/oder Stampfkartoffeln geben. Die Gerichte sind qualitativ hochwertig und machen garantiert satt. Neben gutem Essen, bietet das Morelia Restaurante aber noch mehr. Wer ein klassisch weiß-beleuchtetes Restaurant erwartet, wird überrascht sein. Ein ausgeklügeltes Beleuchtungssystem lässt Teile des Restaurants in harmonisch gelben, pinken oder warmen rot-orangen Tönen erstrahlen. Untermalt wird das Ganze mit entspannter und guter Musik. Als Tipp: Reservierungen können vorab online auf der Homepage des Restaurants durchgeführt werden und wer Lust hat, seinen Geburtstag dort zu feiern, kann das Restaurant inkl. wählbares Spezial-Menü und DJ anmieten!

Comimos el menú de mediodía y estuvo excelente. Vacío de ternera simplemente delicioso, pollo deshuesado también, hamburguesa con cebolla igual. De hecho todo estuvo superbueno, los primeros y los segundos. Y todo por un precio totalmente correcto de 12 euros. Tienen terraza guapa, el camarero es amable y te lo explica todo, el local está bien arreglado y lo más importante de todo la comida es buenísima. Lo recomiendo.

Good food, decent service. The Malbec was excellent. Went here for a lunch and it was a bit dead, but looks like it would be a great evening option. They have a charcoal grill in the kitchen and it smells great when you enter.

our first dinner in Barcelona. i wasnt that hungry so i just got a warm goat cheese and arugula salad — it was amazing. Hubby got pasta — he loved it. and they brought us yummy little teaser samplings of their soup of the day, which was delicious. great service, cool vibe and sweet locale.

Had a great dinner here last night with friends. One has been living here for a year now and this is one of his favorite restaurants in town, so we were happy to try it out. Even though Barcelonians are calling this weather cold(it’s in the 70s, even at night — that is not cold), we sat outside. Our waitress was adorable, the malbec hit the spot, and the food was delicious. The empanadas and provoleta were fantastic(seriously get the provoleta — it’s like pizza without the carbs), and the antipasto platter is huge. The ensalada Morelia, with duck ham, avocado and pear, was really good as well.

Wir waren nun zum 2. Mal dort. Beide Male die Fleischplatte für 2. Vielleicht liegt’s am den hohen Erwartungen, die wir durch unseren ersten Besuch hatten, aber wir waren etwas enttäuscht. Gerade von dem Fleisch, das wir weniger mochten gab es jeweils 4 Stücke. Dennoch auf der Platte hat es mehr als genug um 2 Personen auch ohne Beilage locker satt zu bekommen und dann kostet das Ganze nur 35EUR. Durchaus ein Schnäppchen, da das Fleisch eine gute Qualität hat. Auch das Carpaccio oder der Provolone zur Vorspeise sind sehr zu empfehlen. Insgesamt: Nette Atmosphäre, gutes Essen, das nicht so überteuert ist wie in BCN üblich, sehr netter Service, aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich, guter Wein. Alles in allem kann ich das Morelia mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen.
