Total tourist trap… Walking around looking for a Mediterranean restaurant the lady up front stops us with the high recommendation for a nice patio and perfect pizza. As a tourist, walking all day and specifically asking for a wifi you expect not to be lied in the face! The wifi didn’t work and when I asked if there is a problem with it, I felt disrespected and ignored. Luckily she complained to her co workers and they restarted the modem. As a magic the wifi started working… Not so difficult. We got a salad — no dressing and a pizza– crust like a frozen one. Restroom not great too…

We had to sit outside because it’s too smelly inside. We had some Tapas for lunch but to be honest, they are not very good. Nothing special at all. Most people were there for drink only. There are 10% extra charge, could be the service fee. It was on the menu but I didn’t notice it because it’s not in English.

We came across this café while strolling through one of the streets. If you want to dine at an affordable restaurant, then walk into one of the small streets along Las Ramblas.
We decided to eat outside and ordered a mojito, cana, pan con tomate (bread with cheese), patatas bravas, and manchego cheese. Heads up: some places charge extra for outside seating, so make sure to ask the waiter. Our waiter was so nice and even offered us a free shot after we told him we’re American (not sure if that was stereotypical, but hey free shot)!
It was nice to enjoy dinner here while listening to a local play his guitar.

This place was pretty decent for a café on one of the touristy avenues. We came here for breakfast, we both ordered the «English Breakfast». 2 pieces of bacon, tomato toast, and an egg. It also came with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and that was the best part. That and the cappacino.
It wasn’t bad, but I don’t think I’d go back either. Nothing stood out about this place. And when you have tons of options, why go for mediocre?

Hay sitios que pasan completamente desapercibidos. Que no destacan en nada. Pasamos y no nos damos cuenta que están allí. Este sería el caso del Nemrut, si no fuera por su privilegiada terraza, donde el volcán erupciona y nos petrifica. Sinceramente, os recomiendo sentarse en ella, pedir cualquier cosa, contemplar el tráfico turístico de la calle Avinyó, pero la mirada obligada es hacia la antigua y segunda sede de la escuela La Llotja, actualmente en restauración, afortunados los que tuvieron la suerte de estudiar en este majestuoso edificio. Escuela que en su día, cuenta con más de 200 años de historia, formó a artistas de la talla de: Picasso, Miró, Fortuny, Lola Anglada y otros más actuales como Antoni Micó, Sergio Mora, Roger Olmos, Carmen Segovia, entre otros. Esperemos que las obras terminen pronto y dejen que los artistas de mañana puedan rodearse de este marco incomparable.

¿El interior? Nada de especial. ¿La comida? Sé que hacen tapas pero no puedo opinar porque no me he tomado más que un croissan para desayunar. Aunque por la pinta, no parecen tener nada de especial… Todo hay que decirlo. Sin embargo… ¡La terraza! ¡Oh, la terraza! ¿Cómo lo diría? ¡Pequeñita pero matona! ¡Eso es! ¡Una killer total! Y es que, aunque esté situada en un pequeña placita al ladito de la misma calle Avinyó –o sea, en pleno barullo de la ciudad-​, tiene la virtud saber aislarse y de convertirse en uno de esos rincones de la ciudad realmente carismáticos.
