Nike Cursa De Bombers 10K

No sabía que se había creado un lugar sobre esta carrera. Para mi unas de las cursas más emotivas del año, tanto por su recorrido como por la animación que proporcionan durante el recorrido de la cursa. Todo esta muy bien organizado, seas o no de Barcelona animo a todos los corredores a hacerla.
Te aseguro que no te decepcionará!

The Spaniards know how to put on a race.
Packet pick up at the Arena mall was impressive. Our Nike drifit shirts had our «bib numbers» printed on the actual shirt and we even had the choice of printing a hashtag saying on the back: #runbarcelona was my choice. There was even a long table with all the runners names printed on it as well.
The actual race was amazing right from the start. Video cameras craning over the crowd. The live images being shown a large screen at the start line. A band rocking out at the start. Huge balloons held by pace runners.
Everyone was just so excited during this race. Runners. Spectators. Announcers. Firefighters. That’s right, ladies. Firefighters. Cursa de Bombers is translated into the firefighter race since the race originally served the purpose of raising money for the firefighters of the city. So we actually ran along side firefighters with their full gear on, heavy oxygen tanks and all!
Running through the gorgeous sights of Barcelona was such a great way to end our Barcelona vacation. I highly recommend this popular race to anyone in Barcelona at the time (late April). My husband and I are already talking about going back for our 10 year anniversary!
