Desde cuándo han cambiado de gestión hace unos seis meses el local ha perdido toda su alma griega. Ahora es otro bar restaurante con los típicos platos mediocres vendidos como gourmet. lastimA

The quesadillas. Their meatless, cheesy, veggie goodness satisfied this carnivore every time. Their served with guacamole and pineapple sauce which I honestly thought was a little strange at first until I tried it. It took the dish to a whole new level. Needless to say, I’m back in the states & I am still reminiscing on Itaka

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Itaka and decided to try it after glancing at the menu. We definitely weren’t disappointed — the food was great! The homemade guacamole that came with the nachos was amazing, my boyfriend loved his BLT, and the fresh and homemade hummus was also a hit. The staff were also really helpful and friendly. Give this place a try if you’re in the mood for a yummy and relaxing meal!

Basking in the glow of Ciutadella Park, halfway between Arc de Triomf and the Pompeu Fabra University, Itaka is a rare Greco-American eatery deserving much pomp and circumstance. Serving a mouth-watering combination of refreshing Mediterranean inspiration and American flavors, it’s hard to overstate how enjoyable this recently-revitalized shop truly is. They focus on organic food and drink as well, not to mention their impeccable use of local ingredients. As one of the proprietors, Jerome, will tell you, the local organic wine goes down like water and will never leave you with a hangover the next day. Itaka is smart; it has a strong personality but it holds true to itself by keeping the menu compact and delicious. Try the BLT with a glass of red for a memorable meal. Their apple cobbler is made with passion, following a Texan’s old-fashioned recipe, right down to the fantastic crust. If there is anything that can be held against Itaka, their service is relaxed and some of the waitstaff is inexperienced. Don’t expect michelin star courtisies, but for under € 15 per person Itaka will blow you away.

El mejor garito que recientemente se ha abierto en el Parque de la Ciutadella. Un auténtico oasi griego en Barcelona. Como se dice en el Egeo, fantastikó!
