Playa de la Mar bella

Gorgeous and clean water.
Spent my last day in Spain here for about five hours. Came back home and everyone immediately said I got darker. Oh yeahhh I did and no tan lines either ;-)!!
Loved that there were no pervies and everyone was simply relaxing and minding their own.

Man made beach — quieter section of the coastline where there are suburbs & high rises /​/​people sunbathing & sitting under umbrellas with their families.
Shower heads available to rinse your body & feet after walking off the sand. People bike along the bike lanes & some small cafes & a restaurant line the beachfront…
The city bus (green line of the city tour bus) stops around this beach!

This particular beach is clothing optional. In addition, there is a spot where gay men congregate. (When you arrive to this particular beach, go to the far right.) However, everyone passes by, with or without clothes. Just make sure that you’re comfortable. Otherwise, go to the other beaches nearby.
If you want to rent a lounge chair and an umbrella, be sure to arrive early. Otherwise, you’ll have to find a spot on the sand.
There are some restaurants and bars on the beach. Be sure to hydrate yourself! In addition, there are vendors who walk back and forth the beach selling beverages and wraparounds. (After all, you can’t go to the bar nude.)
There are restrooms nearby. There are free lockers as well especially if you’re worried about things being taken. There is a public shower available for you to rinse off sand.
So, get there, put down your stuff and get in the marvelous Mediterranean!

Not bad for a beach IN the city. Less crowded than the Barceloneta (although in summer it can get quite crowded).
In the cold season it’s a very relaxing place to walk.
I find the chiringuito’s loud music unnecessary, but you can always walk a bit further.

Castellano: Una playa para nudistas y no nudistas igual. Si quieres llevar un traje de baño o no, no hay ninguna presión para ser uno o el otro. Me gusta esta playa, ya que tiene un ambiente más relajado, y no hay tantos turistas. Los más turistas y la congestión de la gente más carteristas hay. A pesar de que todavía tiene que ser vigilantes con sus cosas, no me siento tan prudente como yo de la Barceloneta.
English: A beach for nudists and non-​nudists alike. If you want to wear a bathing suit or not, there is no pressure to be one or the other. I like this beach because it has a more relaxed, and there aren’t as many tourists. The more tourists and congestion of people the more pick pockets there are. Though you still have to be vigilant with your things, I don’t feel as cautious as I do at Barceloneta.

Esta es sin duda la playa a la que voy cuando me apetece buen ambiente y música. Suele estar a reventar en verano, y los chiringuitos que hay están enfocados a un público gay y suelen poner buena música. A partir de cierta hora de la tarde, empiezan a subir el volumen y la gente se anima con los mojitos y las copas, por lo que si te apetece una playa con ambientazo, esta es la tuya. La Mar bella me trae recuerdos mágicos de años pasados en los que siempre se hacía el cierre del Sónar, increíble lo que había llegado a bailar y saltar yo por ahí con mi amiga Anna… Espero que algún día vuelvan a programar un cierre del Sónar ahi porque era brutal, y en Barcelona, no en el Prat como suele hacerse últimamente. Por cierto, no os asustéis si veis alguna persona en bolas, ya que es una de las playas nudistas de Barcelona (la otra es la de la Barceloneta). Me encanta que en una ciudad como Barcelona puedas tener esa libertad :)
