Qu Qu

The décor and servers nice but food is terrible for the price. The pasta salad, ensaladilla rusa, and chicken stuffed with brie were horrendous. Everything looked like it was out of a frozen bag and reheated or boiled. Do Not Eat Here!!! Pics included!!!

Muy buenas tapas. Los huevos estrellados con patatas son una delicia y el plato de jamón ibérico, espectacular. Excelente servicio. No te vayas sin probar la sangría.

This place was available on a Friday night in Barcelona, and now I know why… Because it is average at best related to food and poor related to service. There were 8 of us (colleagues from work) and someone insisted to go here. Unfortunately it was the worst restaurant experience in Barcelona. The wine was OK and the beer.
Tapas average and a little overpriced, maybe it is located in the center of the town near Plata Cataluna.
We have asked the server to bring several things and he forgot half of the order. Then we asked for a menu to order more food since some of us just arrived there from a long flight and the server took the dessert menu took the orders and never brought back the food menu. After two requests he brought us something that we did not order saying that it is on the house.
There are so many choices for tapas in Barcelona and this is definitely not one of them.

This is an interesting restaurant. I loved all of the quirky décor and the lay-​out was unique. The servers were patient and friendly.
I ate here with a large group. We had a house salad, entrée, and dessert. I had a vegetarian entrée of eggs and french fries. Strange combo, but it was yummy. The seating arrangement was a bit cramped, but I enjoyed my company and the meal. I may come back to try out their tapas.

Horrible restaurant !!! DO NOT GO THERE ! The service was really bad, the servers were not patient, making mistakes in our orders, and still charging for them. It was really low quality of food, really disappointed and expensive for what it was.

We had a large group and the servers were very patient with us as we shouted out an almost never ending order of tapas. The food was decent but pretty similar to a lot of the tapas places I have tried.

The place is nice the waitresses are really friendly but it is simply EXPENSIVE! Baguettes are 6 – 10 euros and the breads are tiny!
Well it is our fault to sit somewhere on this street!

Cuando entras a este local todo parece hermoso, de afuera es pintoresco, la decoración es linda, esta lleno de turistas pero no importa, después de todo por la ubicación no se puede esperar otra cosa, además a veces hay que asumir que uno esta jugando de visitante también, cuestión que decidimos entrar y darle una oportunidad.
La primer decepción fue que siendo un martes a las 13 no tenían tortilla de papas, explícame como en un restaurante en la principal avenida turística de Barcelona no tienen papas y huevo para hacer una básica tortilla. En España! no tiene ningún sentido, y para peor cuando el mozo nos quiso explicar porque no había nos dijo que en realidad no habían quedado de ayer. Entonces las tortillas no las hacen en el momento? Todo muy extraño.
Decidimos pedir dos baguettes, para mi una baguette es un sandwich con un largo de entre 10 y 15 centimetros y un ancho de unos 7 cm. Bueno, en este lugar una baguette es una vergüenza! Creo que fue la más triste de la historia, si tenia 4 cm de ancho era mucho, y salía 6 euros!!! LOCURA
Mi vieja pidio de calamares y brie y venia con 4 (LITERAL) rabas y 2 fetas de queso, dale muchachos, tanto me vas a escatimar?
Mala experiencia, no recomiendo y no volvería.

Not good value for money. We were hungry and decided to settle for qu qu. Bad mistake. Portions are very small for main courses. We actually left hungry. Although service isn’t terrible, so I’ll give it 2 stars instead of one.
And FYI, the prices are more expensive for outdoor seating than it is for inside.

Un CERO como una casa. Nos dejamos 117 € en picoteo y beber (éramos 5) y una bolsa con un regalo de cumpleaños. Los desgraciados cogieron lo que les gustó del regalo y dejaron sólo una taza. Para eso mejor hubieran quedado si hubieran dicho que no habían visto ninguna bolsa con ningún regalo. Muy triste. Además los pulpos un asco y los nachos eran nachos untados con queso de tarrina. EVITAD ESTE SITIO. Ladrones.

Yes, this location is prime for tourists, but, it’s no trap. In fact, we saw a few locals come by for a cup of coffee — but it’s not a cozy coffee place. Our breakfast (we didn’t do tapas) here was very pleasant and not overpriced. We sat in the bar area which is bright with subway tiles and high ceiling. Our waitress was patient as we checked out the menu (there are some specials like pastry and coffee or sandwich with orange juice) and changed our order at least once ;). These were all standard fare and the orange juice is freshly squeezed.
The main dining area is deeper inside the restaurant and a few steps down. Again, nicely decorated and bright. I would be happy to return here to meet with friends, but there are definitely better spots for tapas if that’s your hunger.

This place is horrible. It is the worst place I have ever been to in my life! Please do not come here. The food is horrible and cold and the service is the worst!

Slow service and the food was not that good. I’d rather have a baguette out on the street.

Tapas for tourists — and we were no excpetion — but we were hungry and it was not as packed solid here as some of the other tapas places.
Solid tapas and a good selection of mid-​priced wines.
Barcelona is NOT a cheap city — but we were OK here. I had an omelete with vegetables and the gambas.

El sitio donde está instalado el Qu Qu es simplemente inmejorable. En Passeig de Gràcia, tocando a Gran Via; así cualquiera! Un local amplísimo, con barras a la entrada y un salón profundo al que te adentras bajando unos peldaños.
Ésta era la segunda vez que me pasaba por allí. Al menos, en esta ocasión no nos trataron de guiris, cosa que se agradeció. Servicio rápido, mesa lista con salvamanteles de papel y extensa carta dividida por temas (qué trabajo leerla toda).
Cuidadín! En Quasi Queviures se puede comer bastante bien a un precio razonablemente asequible… ahora, hay que ir con cautela… Las bebidas y el «pa amb tomàquet» los cobran a niveles de Passeig de Gràcia.
La clave creo yo es pedirse varios entrantes para picotear: ensaladitas varias, calamares y frituras, pollito rebozado, brochetas, huevos revueltos, hamburguesitas, qué se yo! Recomendaría hacer una primera tanda, ya que siempre se está a tiempo de hacer un segundo «round». En general, todo rico.
Si no se ha merecido más nota es por varios matices. Primero, los salvamanteles de papel (I hate them…). Segundo, esas minibotellitas de agua y encima en plástico! Tercero, es imperdonable que te inviten a abandonar un platillo cuando aún ni lo has terminado… Está claro que la rotación es clave en este negocio, pero también es cierto que un poco más de mano izquierda no vendría mal.

Flying halfway around the world is no small task. It’s annoying and painful (assuming you’re in coach) and the last thing you want is a crappy meal as soon as you get to your end point. But that’s exactly what we did when we got to Barcelona.
Long story short, we skipped my list of places to eat at and decided to wander around. After a nice long walk, we settled on Qu Qu. Big mistake. It was arguably the worst meal we had during our two weeks in Europe.
We started with some cheap house wine and some light and dark anchovies. Bleh, very fish (not in a good way) and very tough. Eating these was painful.
Then onto some ham, blah. It was very though, very chewy, and had an almost off taste to it.
Lastly was some fish that tasted like it just came out of the microwave (the whole plate was hot too). It was mushy, bland, and sad, so very sad.
So after three quick bites, we got the check, packed our stuff and headed out for dinner #2.

Après avoir testé le restaurant juste un peu plus haut, celui ci me paraît du coup beaucoup moins bon et moins accueillant. Et pourtant. Quand on y est arrivé, il n’y avait pas encore foule hein! Le serveur était peut être un peu trop fatigué.
Les plats ont été bien présentés mais ce n’est pas pour autant que c t très bon.
J’ai gouté de bien meilleurs cannelloni et le super dessert auquel de m’attendait était de pauvres mini boules de glaces. Zut Déçue.

This is a great starter place for tourists to Spain, and a gentle introduction to tapas. Although it seems a little bit targeted at tourists (they have about 5 languages on their menu), the food is actually very good. They have some of the best patatas bravas that I’ve tasted in the city and pan con tomate is very fresh tasting. However, if you are looking for a more Catalan/​Spanish immersed experience at a tapas bar, this wouldn’t be my first pick.

Estuve hace poco y pienso repetir. Quería comentarlo porque me parece que las tapas que hacen están buenísimas, no había probado nunca una comida igual. El servicio excelente, el precio, baratísimo. Con una inmejorable situación y un ambiente agradable, nos ofrece la posibilidad de disfrutar de sus tapas durante todo el día, además de comidas y cenas muy completas hechas con productos de nuestra tierra.
Es un local desenfadado con grandes lámparas de colores y el suelo característico de las casas del Eixaple, al estilo vintage.
Te recomiendo que pruebes los huevos estrellados! Deliciosos!

Quasi Queviures, se llama el sitio pero lo abrevian en el logo bajo la fórmula «Qu Qu». De afuera se lo ve lindo, pintoresco diríà la gente grande. Sí, con una estética que me gusta, mucho afiche dando vuelta, mucha creatividad en su decoración pero solo me quedo con ello al fin de cuentas. El servicio en sí para mí es malo. Es un sitio que a cara descubierta se dedica a atrapar gente. No me gusta su actitud. Los guiris felices y contentos. Ok pero yo no. Ellos entran a mansalva. Y a mí eso no me va. Por lo que se ve no dejan de facturar ni por casualidad. Te cazan ahí en la acera, te meten para adentro, te apuran, te sirven y así en breve te despachan. Se que no suena lindo pero esa fue la sensación que tuve aquella vez que por dejarme llevar por su imagen externa entré cuasi confiada. Había fascinado con esa pared de afiches. Recuerdo que era un mediodíaa que volvía con mi hermana del aeropuerto después de un viaje y cansadas de tanto andar, dijimos, dale, entremos a este lugar. El error fue nuestro. No buscar un poco más. Y así fue como le dimos la oportunidad a un sitio se supone para guiris a matar. No lo recomiendo como un buen lugar. Voilà!

Né vous installez pas sur la térasse, le service sera long, très long. Installez-​vous au bar et vous serez servis avant tout le monde. Les tapas sont délicieux, né prenez pas ceux sur petit-​pain, c’est cher et pas aussi bons que ceux servis dans les assiettes. Mais si les barcelonais y vont, cela veut dire que c’est bon!!!

Excellent restau proposant tapas et autres mets locaux à prix très très corrects (de 3 à 10 EUR).. Terrasse possible. Très couru, mais si vous y allez aux heures «françaises», vous aurez de la place.
Ce restaurateur serait soupçonné de fraude sur CB, évitez d’utiliser la votre.

Tapas Tapas ! Et si possible en terrasse !
Sympa mais pas exceptionnel pour manger quelques tapas sur la terrasse. Le service est un peu limite et effectivement relativement long mais bon, lorsque l’on a un verre à la main, on peut bien attendre quelques minutes de plus. Donc, à faire quand on a pas d’autre adresse, puis partir vers un autre lieu plus vivant avec une meilleure ambiance.

Correct
Ca fait un peu usine, on entre par la cuisine, marrant mais après, la salle fait penser à une brasserie parisienne bruyante où il né faut pas trop prendre son temps pour manger. De plus, les tapas sont spéciales: une petite coupelle de pâtes avec 3 morceaux de surimi pour 4 euros, un peu cher…

Voici un resto-​bar où vous pourrez déguster de très bons tapas en terrasse, sur le Passeig de Gracia. Prix convenables, service pas très rapide mais correct. Faire un tour dans le bâtiment, c’est assez sympa.
